I thought CF has said in previous presentations that ORPH shareholders will get a 1:1 share in any Imutex listing? (if it’s not a cash sale). I’m pretty sure I’ve read on here that when this is announced, only the existing shareholders up to that point will be entitled to the shares in Imutex. So if ORPH announces this on, say 10/10/20, then only shareholders to that date will be entitled to the new ‘free’ Imutex share. Anyone purchasing ORPH shares after that date will not be entitled to ‘free’ Imutex shares. Is this correct, or not, as I’m confused. TIA

Thanks for confirmation. Then I would expect the ORPH share price to fall following the announcement of any sale/listing as new shareholders who purchase shares after such an announcement will get no Imutex value/benefit and thus the ORPH value will be diminished. I bought in to this share knowing Imutex was likely to be of value and it was part of my decision to buy and keep buying. However if it falls to say £0.15p, then current shareholders will still be a net £0.17p better off (based on £0.22p payout, less £0.05p share price fall) IMO

666m shares not £666m

If Imutex is sold/listed for £300m, does this give each shareholder a one of payout or free share of circa £0.22p per share? (on the basis of ORPH owing 49% of Imutex) Ie £300m x 49% = £147m. Then £147m divided by £666m shares = £0.22p per share? Is this correct?

Headline from a Sunday Times business section article in today’s edition. Goes on to say;

“Investors are pouring billions into blood tests.......”.

As Bazzaman pointed out earlier, the £7m per challenge study was already flagged up by CF in May. Hence I don’t think this is the “sensational” news CF mentioned about a month ago that we’d be hearing about now. IMO it’s hardly “sensational“ that another contract is in the pipeline for a sum in line with previous expectations. Any views on this?

Barwick, I’m convinced that’s exactly the “sensational” news CF spoke about a month ago. Apple inc too. IMO

If you’ve done your research, and believe the factual information given by the CEO, the II’s selling some shares for short term profit is on balance good news for us pi’s as its temporarily suppressing the share rise (not the underlying fundamentals of the Company) and therefore allows us pi’s to keep accumulating shares at a bargain price up to the point when “sensational” news is released. The share price will rise steeply at that point and the shares will become much more sticky where II’s are concerned. All IMO.

Just to be clear the comments in italics are Peter Braileys (not US clinicaltrials.gov’s)

Not sure if this has been discussed on here, but I’ve just read this article from 30th August at the above website.

In the article it states that Synairgen’s SNG001 drug has been listed on the US website clinicaltrials.gov (as is required by US law), and an update was provided on the 27th August. It states ;

“the update still refers to those phase 2 trials, but now also expressly refers to a phase 2 pivotal trial that will follow completion of the two initial phase 2 trials. My understanding is that a Pivotal trial is normally a phase 3 activity, but can be undertaken as a phase 2. Either way successful completion of a Pivotal trial paves the way to approval and commercial use of the drug. I see this as fast tracking the evaluation and approval process”

Does anyone with any knowledge of such trial processes agree with this? Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Thanks for everyone’s input. Given he said “sensational” I’m of the opinion this will not be a new contract announcement. I also don’t think it will be an announcement regarding the Imutex sale/float as CF has already flagged up that this will be done in the coming months.
I’m therefore leaning to the sale or monetisation of the genome data. Although CF has made us all aware in the past of his intention to monetise it, I suspect that recent events have supercharged ‘health’ stocks values worldwide, and therefore the value of this data, even beyond CF’s expectations. It is this news I think that will be “sensational”. All guesswork on my part though. GLA

CF said the above words in Thursdays presentation. I’m assuming it could relate to ;
1 Imutex listing or sale announcement
2. Firm contract announcement for data (wearables)
3. Something else

Would welcome any opinions on this. Thanks.

Am I right in stating that a lot of the larger investment funds are precluded from investing in stocks which have a market cap of less than £100 million? If so, as of today, ORPH should now be on their radars? Any thoughts?

Thanks Indiscipline for your reply. I suppose that these guys doing the investing for II’s have to constantly prove their worth to their employer, chipping in regularly with short term profits (even if it at the expense of bigger medium or long term profit)

That was the most buoyant we’ve seen CF in any presentation to date. I too though am a little concerned with the II’s selling and profit taking. If they believe this has only further to go, then why sell some now? I can understand PI’s doing this but not II’s. I thought they were supposed to be long term investors?
