RE: ORPH Research note - Imutex deal 'near to fruition'2 Oct 2020 14:20
Thanks Usain for the reply. If you and the previous poster I referenced earlier are correct, then I think I’m right in my previous assertion that the share price would fall back immediately upon the announcement. Some value will have been stripped from ORPH, and whilst this value is not on the ORPH balance sheet as value, it will have been in the ‘value’ that investors attributed to ORPH when adding up the total value of all its constituent parts. Therefore anyone buying this the day after the 1:1 Imutex entitlement is announced, will surely be buying in the knowledge this value has been stripped from any share purchase (and a very large value) and therefore this will reflect in the price any new investor will pay. Also some shareholders who receive the 1:1 entitlement will sell Imutex or ORPH shares for profit taking, and if they sell some then ORPH’s share price will fall.
I’m absolutely not trying to deramp in advance as I will be keeping all my ORPH shares as I believe the current market value (without Imutex) is cheap and will continue to rise after the Imutex sale. If CD pulls of the Imutex listing for a good value, then his and ORPH's credibility and visibility with investors, both II’s and PI’s, will be greatly enhanced, meaning the shares will kick on again after any temporary blip. All IMO
