Looks like a couple of others did too, middle of trading for 1mm and 3mm, not insignificant by any means. At this price it seems to be generating interest. Or was this you stocking up Zodiac ;-)

Having thought the same I checked their website’s calendar and the only update for definite is the 2018 final results in April 2019! So would hope for news before then but there is no guarantee. I think we’re watching day by day and these turn arounds take time, months to years. Capita came back relatively quickly from their lows but we need a disposal or two. Shorts are moving in the right direction I’ll be keen to see if that continues or if it starts to jump up to 10-12% plus as per Carillon did or Pets at Home at the moment.

Interesting views all round- I see PB turning a profit finally in the U.K. but being held down by overseas expansion so it currently affects the overall profitability. PB needs to expand overseas now otherwise someone else will try to move in and the US market is just too big not to try and crack.

JVS, do you think this applies to all online estate agents or do any other companies have a different model that could give a competitive edge over the traditional one?

Would have been pleased with this but other companies i’ve checked also decreased today, anyone else noticed this? Coincidence or bulk update? Doubt the hedge funders are turning positive on the economy!

Bricks does have the cash to fund this - around 70mm if I recall so it’s not extending a debt facility as such

Given the number of companies under the Interserve umbrella a few disposals would be an ideal way to reduce the debt and allow IRV to benefit from profits rather than paying lenders so they must be considering this - any news would be appreciated as they’ve been very quiet on this front. Otherwise a rights issue looms.

Investomania and the like seem to be websites training AI bots to write guff about shares. The article cited has many set sentences and paragraphs that you could cut and paste that would apply to many other shares.

Spread is still over 3% over an hour after opening so yes, buyers and sellers can’t decide yet, low volumes too

It’s a bit like investors holding on to fevertree given their recent move into the us market - it’s huge compared with the uk and worth leaving your investment there if you can. Purp is similar and does have businesses in 4 countries now and some with bigger savings for customers too. Given the uncertainty around Brexit it’s good to have this overseas exposure, the only upside in the U.K. that I possibly see is a reduction in stamp duty otherwise people are just kept busy with extensions and new basements.

I’m surprised the Wonga website is still up and looks as if it’s able to accept requests! Sure there will be a few hoping to try their luck and thinking they’ll be in the clear if wonga does go down. Make pfg look like an even better investment and it’s been a while since I last thought that.

Think Aendjo is referring to sudden drops caused by many small sells that will shake out the private investors who have had enough - then when the institutional investors have built up thier share of IRV the price will rise and such shenanigans cease. I like that theory! the waiting with this one is the killer, patience required

It’s certainly an interesting start for Tuesday, hopefully pfg has had its shakedown and will only benefit. The call on the collapse of wonga maybe a tad early so if/when confirmation comes we’ll see a nice lift.

Interesting to see if the shorters are turning their attention elsewhere. Liberium has just reduced their target price to 65p but kept it to hold so obviously the waiting is not over yet! Given the general softening of the market and global affairs like tariffs, Turkey, and Brexit any share doing well is an exception in this MC region

Shorters don’t always prosper- PFG was shorted ~15% and then shot up 71% in one day earlier in the year. I ignored them that time :-) but have sold before on other shares when staying in was better. So DYOR and use all these other pieces of info as you see fit, the short percentage is not totally accurate either. GLA

The comments on this article might be from EAs as they are a bit bitter - they do raise some valid points to but ultimately it’s great PR on an important demographic. Plus the accreditation is on there for some time to come unlike an ad.
