They were monsters recorded after the bell yesterday, and this share would not stand £346k of trades without some movement in normal times. I think they were all Buys, and your imagination that something is afoot seems reasonable and deeply interesting to me!

gator - don't blame you for wondering about all the recent volume of trading, I was in a similar frame of mind especially when I read the Sunday Telegraph article referring Antin and all the acquisition and trading activity in the southern North Sea Gas zone. 600 is right about the unreliability of LSE in reporting Buy/Sells differences - but the MMs would certainly not be hanging on to large tranches in the hope of future rises, its not their style. So, even if a total buy-out is unlikely, I would say that a considerable chunk of investment from a solid partner could well be on the table, or close to it.

in the Sunday Telegraph Business section headed " Buyers line up for 250-mile gas pipeline from North Sea". Private Equity giant Antin Infrastructure has been approached by a number of Buyers for its Kelly Midstream assets, which include the Cats pipeline which delivers some 5 bn cubic metres of gas to the UK last year. The cats pipeline was one of the biggest infrastructure projects of the 1990s. "Antin has since added gas fields to the original Cats system through its 2017 controlling stake in the Esmond Transportation System (ETS) a 102-mile long pipeline connecting thesouthern North Sea to gas terminal in Norfolk."
Surely referring to Bacton, and surprised we did not get a reference here?? But, final paragraph refers to "a new breed of private equity-backed companies such as Neptune Energy and Chrysaor." Could Antin be on our prospective list of major farm-out partners?
Good RNS, bringing some positive plans to the drilling at Harvey as promised by the BOD, and some assurance on timelines for FID.

600 - as already observed by others, absolutely no need to apologise for making a trade that is your decision based on your current priorities and cash flow etc. Moreover, this board has returned to a sensible discussion panel due in no small measure to your own efforts and transparent views. I might find myself apologising for Buying in certain situations -but it will be purely to my mirror for self-inflicted punishment!

All these reported sells are making no difference to the SP - and so, for once I would trust the MMs who would normally make a rapid downward correction if there was anything negative afoot. I have to say that I am surprised at the nervousness of some of our regulars, as the recent turbulence over the placing has now been supplanted with a far more confident and actively positive stance by the BOD. We have a number of milestones in a declared timescale ahead of us, and I am happy to wait as the story unfolds with some very heavy hitters now backing the core project.

Stock - I also bought 3 weeks ago on Questor advice, as it looked a very solid fund at a sensible entry price. With a little top up last week now showing over 3%, which is very satisfactory - especially after finger burning on AIM shares! I won't be selling in May as I think this may go through the summer lifting to around the £10 marker by St. Leger day! Always the optimist!

Agree GGIS - tried a few dummy buys just lately, and have been quoted the same price as the lumpy trades showing in red on the LSE board. Had they been real "sells" this SP would be a lot lower, and some are showing as "neutrals" on HL trades record. Aligator well researched, as we were all wondering about the hold-up with Bacton. As you say, seems extraordinary that such a facility should have been operating without proper entitlement to the land upon which it stands!!

Well done trellis - always best in my view to avoid the knee-jerk and give these decisions a little time and consideration before jumping. We have the backing now which is the main thing with a placing of this size, and the weekend lends a bit of space to re-consider. Also, we would miss your valuable input on the board - so GWS and enjoy 3 vital months of positive activity from this newly energised BOD!

Trellis - Lombard - were they to blame for the problems at those companies that you quote? You seem to be dead set against their involvement at IOG, so there must be good reasons from such a knowledgeable poster. Personally have no experience of them - but need to hang on after the placing to get somewhere near recovery!

600 - we all need a bit of luck at this game, and when investing in this sort of share, timing is everything. Agree with all your points, but they do need to be rammed home as imperatives at the GM on Tuesday. Shareholders in general have responded well to the placing offer, now its action stations for the BOD with Harvey drilling and funding partner at the very top of the agenda.

Certainly not bragging - just a statement of what took place, win or lose. Nothing like as shrewd as 600, who did something similar according to his post, and now averages less than one-third of my figure. This has been a tough old ride for those who topped up in the balmy days of circa 30p, so a wee bit of advantage, however small,is welcome. It will be interesting to see the market reaction after Easter and the GM.

Not sure of your logic butd - I sold 100k at 12p a fortnight or so ago, and have been awarded 120k at 10p in the placing offer. Sure that others have done the same - so what's not to like if it all comes good?

Sparrow and gator, agree with all your points and I do share your disappointment of course. The danger here is the spectre of further placing and dilution, but those who have shown their faith in the project over a long period - with justification - have to show a bit more in my book, and back the share offer as it stands, with the securing of a properly committed backer/partner becoming our main hope of salvation. The assets and their value speak for themselves, so we have to trust this BOD to be focused and active on the main job in hand. I intend to attend the GM on April 23, and have backed the shareholder offer to the tune of 80k shares. To the patient and the steadfast on here, I wish the very best of good fortune!!

Your 10.22 post happy, all very relevant questions that we would all love to see answered, but I somehow doubt that they will be on the pretext of "market sensitive information" that cannot be commented upon etc. etc. But good luck nevertheless, also to rxdav and all his tireless efforts. The support from members of the BOD and key executives for the 10p share offer in today's RNS - would you consider that to be substantial, or merely token? And as a question to the wider audience of existing shareholders, what response do you intend to make to the Open Offer of 10p per ratio of shares by the deadline of April 16??

Apart from making a decision to accept or not accept the Share Offer to existing holders at the GM on April 23, I am totally puzzled by the figures entered on my 2 Accounts with HL. Need some help with this one! If the offer is based on the share holding on Friday March 29 - as stated in this week's RNS - on a 3 for 19 basis, round figures would award my ISA account something like 26k shares @ 10p to Buy, and my Fund and Share Account something like 37k shares to Buy @ 10p. Strangely, the quoted figures are way below these numbers, and bear more relation to my existing holdings - which are reduced somewhat by some tranches sold in both accounts earlier this week at 14p, transacted BEFORE the announcement of the Open Offer. Could this be an oversight by HL, and is the March 29 level written in indelible ink? More postcards rxdav!!

With that kind of portfolio rx, I am not surprised that you can afford to be laissez-faire over the recent shenanigans at IOG. Totally unwise, I know, but I saw a big opportunity here over a year ago at the 14/15p marker and stuffed all the eggs into this basket, not even top-slicing at the 34p level last June. Against the recent backdrop here, it has been wet finger in the wind to time even a respectable loss exit - so here we are at a serious loss level right now. The first alarm bell for me was when the original prime mover MR jumped ship - without knowledge of course of the genuine reason for his exit. I think that this BOD has handled all the moving challenges about as well as the PM has handled Brexit negotiations and tactics - and the placing indicates that any jv or farm-out is still some distance from the table. Hope I am wrong about that one too - but will definitely attend the GM on April 23 to ask some pertinent questions about the direction of the wind before converting my own shed-load into more cheap shares. Be Lucky with your change of direction - a nice dilemma from a position of strength!

There is certainly a lot going on rx, and this dilution appears to have been necessary to meet timelines on loan obligations and to continue with the work on harvey etc. etc. Any jv partners that may be in the offing will need to see progress on these fronts before committing to the details of a deal. No surprise that there is now some lively buying at these levels as I think the pros regard this as rock bottom with lots of potential upside. The next few days will be interesting - have cleaned out the sofa to join in at 12.50 so hey-ho here we go!

We on this board get to know our contributors rather well Doberman, and sage has a record of some insightful contributions over a period of time - so you misread that one, like most of your observations on a company that you would love a piece of, but fail completely to understand. Breq has now completed his lengthy hymn of praise for his first love RRE - just omitted to say that the other thing he adores about them is launching fatuous bids on companies with as yet unfunded means of developing hugely promising assets by scurrilously implying that they are somehow tainted by the dealings of a third party with their own lending source. The Administrator has full knowledge of the transaction, and has also joined with the BOD of IOG in promptly rejecting the joke bid. When RRE inevitably withdraws that bid on the deadline next week, can I suggest that you return to the comfort of your own board, take your objectionable pooch with you, and leave the PIs invested here to return to a factual and balanced discussion confined to the progress and development of funding arrangements taking place at IOG.

Excellent summaries of the current scenario from 600 and bandit - and RRE made a big mistake in advising the Administrator of his duty. Touch of arrogance there - never goes down well with officialdom - and I for one would love to see them retreat with ears stinging and bottoms smacked when we get news of a proper jv with acceptable and reputable partners.
