Just to confirm trade at 1600 for 50k at 14.7p is a BUY, but will probably be wrongly defined on here owing to the spread. Did this on the expectation of positive news to come in days ahead?

gator - you still persist with the glass-half-empty comments, and with some £358k of Buy trades recorded today - including some individual tranches of close on £100k - I just cannot understand why you are asking the reason for the rise in SP?? It is a simple indicator of confidence expressed in substantial figures - and those who are buying are not waiting for updates and announcements! Since one of your areas of doubt concerns the conclusion of a contract and working arrangement at the Bacton terminal, it might help to underline that negotiation with Crown Estates could not be with a more UK-Business friendly organisation, and I would expect the BOD to produce a positive notice on this aspect in due course.

today with an early quarter mill stake in the ground setting the tone. Hard to catch a riser like this at the right price, but finally managed to get 50k at 16.38p for topping up. There is confidence around this share now, and I can't help thinking that news of some sort must be imminent.

gator - there was also a late declared Sell of 500k shares yesterday, but once again you won't be able to work out the raison d'etre behind these big trades - except to say that very possibly a high roller was very happy with a 50% turn around in just one month after the placing price activity? It keeps the action liquid, but the overall preponderance of Buys on a very busy day sent us nicely northwards, and we have momentum now. A bit quieter today, but the late declaration of a nearly 200k share trade kept us bubbling. Your reference to a sieve need not be directed to this company - just the information shared that a big backer is increasing his holding is easily enough to keep the ball rolling for substantial players and PIs alike.

Confident Routemap? Probably because they know something - and this kind of backing indicates to me that the heavyweights who came in at placing time want a bigger piece of the pie here. Most of the regulars on here are obsessed with BOD bashing because of no information on key elements of the project, but I would regard the signals given out currently by the market to be of greater significance. Certain timelines stated have not yet been reached, and patience becomes a lot easier when you observe this kind of uptick IMHO.

I didn't know we were expecting any until certain timelines are met by the Bod? We are now backed by some serious players who do not throw money or bananas at monkeys - and the same backers will surely want bigger pieces of the pie as this story unfolds. The greatest bugbear of all start-up explorers in gas/oil/mining ventures is lack of funding and our recent placing and subsequent dilution was a necessary step forward given the circumstances. Those doom-mongers who were forecasting a further drop in SP to the 8p marker have already been confounded - so have a little faith and patience in a great project and give these guys a chance to realise their planned programme.

As suspected in earlier posts, the SP movement suggests that something of the sort is happening or about to. We have moved up slightly again, and gone from a silly wide spread to the narrowest in history - but still holding the Bid at 13.25 in spite of Sells, which cannot be disputed at this juncture. Gator - since you know the personalities in the Gas business, what exactly would Neil Hawkings bring to the party?

Trellis - your point about COMMUNICATION is well made, and 100% compulsory for the BOD in the light of recent strong support from existing PIs for the placing and inevitable dilution - just keep the troops informed for heaven's sake! If it is only work in progress, how about a quick interview with our old pal Malcy, as we are supposedly on everybody's watchlist? And - to further the mystery of current SP, whilst the MMs maintain a faintly ridiculous Ask of 14.5p, EVERY trade will appear as a Sell! A dummy tells me that I can buy what I like at 13.48p! Beats me I am afraid.

Lets be a little bit more positive gator. We both think something is going on behind the scenes, and no-one outside the company can do any more than guess what that might be. So when official news comes - and it may be imminent - it should at the very least be interesting and progressive IMHO. We are definitely now due some information on rig acquisition and movement for drilling Harvey now that funds are available?

As previously stated gator, I am on exactly the same page - and no-one has come up with an alternative theory to explain the phenomenon. I only read stories of PI's profit-taking on placing shares - but once again this would surely have a negative impact on SP?

I would say that figure, together with the placing funds would about cover it mike. As you say, with IOG's valued resources - even without a further boost from Harvey results - there must surely be some strong interest at this present time with offers close to the table?

KK - I had a message from HL some days ago saying that all placing shares had been issued and taken up, so are we to follow your optimistic slant? And 600, you are now beginning to think upon the same lines as gator! I would not be able to put numbers upon it, but a move before Harvey results and FID would certainly make sense.

More accurate record of the day's trading from HL states 5.23 m shares traded either way - that is close to a record for this share?
