The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode with London Stock Exchange Group's Chris Mayo has just been released. Listen here.
It's tripled over the last year thriller.... I don't think doubling over the next 12 months is too far father when you account for smr's, bbb rating, dividend, hedge funds / pension funds (on the back of the bbb rating and dividend), share buybacks and possible announcement of re entry into narrow body market... I would suggest £7 is Conservative.
wowsers... you actually speak some sense damo but i really don't understand why you need to **** off all and sundrie before sharing your thoughts. it's a (reasonably) friendly forum with a wide variety of views and knowledge. you've obviously grasped the basics rr and are reasonably literate, that doesn't give you carte blanche to be rude about other people's posts. if you don't like it just scroll on by.
With a closing price of 356.8 the winner is........Mistyoptic with a guess of 357. Notable mention to steve626 with a guess of 356. Mistyoptic is the winner of the grand prize. Well done!!!
Here's 58 closing predictions for you.....admittedly made before the big reveal...

That needs a thread all to itself RhyzG - that could well be the order Tufan was talking about....
RE: Why is there a lot more sells than buys ??.
Just wait for RR to be upgraded from it's current BB+ (or junk status) to BBB (or investment grade)... There'll be some serious buys when this happens..... Not sure if Royces have the clout to co-ordiante a Fitch upgrade with their results - but if results are on course it shouldn't take the credit agencies long to re--rate RR to investment grade.
So far we have had 44 entries (listed below) and the average guess for tomorrows closing price is 354.3. The highest guess is confluence with 404 and the lowest guess is rr101 with 280. I may have missed the odd entry as it became a bit of a free for all with regards to where people posted their entry. Here's wishing to a positive day tomorrow and a positive 2024 and beyond!! Even if tomorrow isn't quite as "magical" as people are hoping I'm pretty sure Royces is in good hands for the long term. Fingers crossed / tight lines etc.

the closing price is the closing price. there aren't a variety of closing prices or "alternative" closing prices. quite frankly i find it embarrassing that google can't get its **** together and show the closing price. i suggest you find somewhere reliable and ignore sites like google....
Things that could happen on 22nd.....
Announcement of Divi
Greater than expected profits
Greater than expected cash in hand
Greater than expected debt reduction
SMR news
Announcement of firm comittment (with timescales and some detail) of re-entering the narrow body market
Announcement of succesful sale of electric engines business
I've probably missed some big ones... Just a few of the above "should" catapault the SP. We'll have to wait and see. 3 sleeps till 22nd :-)
Can you register....
