Boeing not attending the Paris airshow is quite a story... It's as if they've just given up. I hope Airbus / RR have the capacity for all the orders they're going to get!!

Without wanting to mention politics the SP could do exceedingly well without the stresses and strains of the various events that seem to happen on a much too frequent basis. In a normal world without geo-political instability RR should get to 13 or 14 by year end - Tufan seems pretty good at setting challenging yet hittable targets - I'd guess RR will better expectations in the interims yet bettering expectations has almost become the norm with Royces. I could see RR publishing a fantastic update and the SP going down as the market was expecting an even more fantastic update.... They could almost become a victim of their own success...

935 seems a very conservative estimate?? This is afterall their 12 month prediction...

Svend did a great post outlining all the good news that is yet to come the other day. There's plenty of uplifting stuff on the horizon. More SMR, Paris Airshow (chinese and Emirates??), Narrow body / ultrafan announcement etc, etc - This should be hitting 13 or 14 by year end if things pan out.

Apparently she'll be announcing the winners at the gmb conference on Tuesday. Couldn't find a schedule but pretty sure you can watch it live on their website... rr should start strong tomorrow and hopefully get a big boost when she delivers the result....

Just one thing "Final decision and first orders inbound (likely July)" - Surely we're looking at final decision in June??? - The winner (s) obviously gets the orders - just double checking I've not missed something - does the July reference incorporate a month to issue the orders?

I read an interesting piece the other day - the orange one thinks he is going to lose the mid-terms in 2026 (and therefore lose control of the Senate and the House and therefore essentially lose all power).... so the orange one is looking to stir up and divide the country to enable him to impose martial law - thus cancelling the mid-term elections - May seem far-fetched to the casual observer - HOWEVER - he's just suggested mobilising troops "across the country" and has already (illegally) sent the National Guard to LA...... I've pretty much tapped out of US politics as I find it so depressing - but I don't actually think this theory is as far-fatched as some might think it is.....

The Musk brand is toxic. Tesla core market is the "woke" libs who trump despises. Musk's willingness to work with trump has alienated his core fanbase. The right wing hate electric cars as they see them as "woke". Tesla is screwed. Even a 10 year old can see this????

I reckon they'll have chosen a partner by now... Whilst production won't be imminent there will be a juicy announcement about future production / plans at some point this year. (SMR / Narrow Body / Emirates?? / Chinese filling their boots with Airbus?? / more (European) SMR....)

I agree Cev. It would make sense to announce the winner (s) on Monday or Tuesday... If they don't announce on Monday or Tuesday they'll have to announce on Wednesday... won't they?? Can't see them saying "and we've set aside X£billion for SMR's but you'll need to wait 2 days to find out who it's going to??".

So the funding behind the smrs will definitely be announced on wednesday.... are we any closer to knowing when the winners of the smr tender will be announced??
