Ah Mr T ---I forgot to mention there is a bit down the garden that Im hoping will get better for the bees. I've got foxgloves growing near 2 dwarf plum trees near the house, and have tried to get some down the garden as well. I've sown wild flower seeds down there and today some cornflower seeds as well.
Im rubbish at it , but i was pleased to graft the bramley onto the dwarf root stock.
I took cuttings off the black currant bushes so hopefully enough of them will take to pass on as well as planting some more down the garden. Ive managed to grow apricot, plum and peach trees from stone but they wont produce fruit yet--buy maybe in a few years?
Right thats the weekend done, lets hope for better things for Centamin this week and future weeks.

Dasut, sometimes I go out in the garden and do bits and I can be out there 2 1/2 hours and not seem to have gotten anything done, but it is all stuff that needs doing, from painting the fence, weeding, getting compost out of the Dalek , reclaiming ground that had a lot of limestone put in years ago and even planting seeds :-) .
Im not very good at it but things are getting better. I've managed to graft a few apple trees onto dwarf rootstock for relatives, take cuttings of Rosemary, grow chives and thyme. I've even managed to grow some veggies :-)
I've pickled onions and shallots and made plum and blackcurrant and plum jam.
I hope Martin Horgan is better at his job than I am in the garden and will grow production , dividends and share price in the near future.

Mr T------I actually agree with a lot of your political views, I just dont think here is the place to air them. Boris/Farage/ Brexit /Inflation. However (bit political here myself). I will not vote for Labour because I know people who were ripped off by the Pathfinder scheme-------------compulsory purchases of terraced housing in quite a few areas. I hold Prescott in near the same contempt as Mrs T herself!!!!!!!
I am not questioning your integrity at all. Just how much use some of the information is and how accurate. Forgive me for teasing you a little. But I can tell you when the first man will land on the moon :-)
I cannot remember if Siko actually mentioned who said that to him , but I appreciated Siko's input on here and he struck/ strikes me as a decent man.
Regarding posting old information-------you have to remember we are getting old. The attention span of people is so short now. If you watch even a factual program on the telly now, they recap after the adverts. That is how short peoples attention span is..
You strike me as being old enough to remember Spitting Image in the 80s? Do you remember the John Cole puppet talking about calling people a liar in Parliament? He was giving other terms which translated as something like "liar" or "spotty faced liar" .

Mr T------I was not being sarcastic intentionally. I know you have been here a long time and post often. I dont agree with you posting up political stuff even If I agree with your views. Also putting up stuff from 2014 / 16 etc when it could appear to be new information, can cloud things as well.
I know people cannot be right all the time and often the top share "tipsters " have a less than 50% success rate, which is what you would expect by chance. I think "the man on the train" has a similar success rate? I have previously posted that him, Siko or anybody can only report what they have heard and if the source is dodgy then the information probably is too. I rememer Siko posting that he had been told "Good times are coming. Good times are coming" . I consider Siko to be an honest and honourable man and hope him and his family are well.
Regarding "the man on the train" and "the man in the pub" -----------How well in the know are they if they say these things afterwards? With a little help and research , I could report last weeks lottery numbers, who won the Fa cup in a given year, or a grand national winner. Im sure you will get my point without taking offence.
Probably similar to yourself and others on here, I am hoping tha Martin Horgan sorts things out and that are a few decent sized gold finds at Sukari (in the short term) and other places in the longer term.

Regarding your 3 posts Mr T. I know you are a long time investor/ sufferer here, and i've been here over a decade myself EEK! But your contacts never seem to flag up concerns before things happen??? Im talking about the "pub contact" and "the man on the train", not Kees Decker and his findings . It is good to know what has gone on, but even better to know about it while it is going on!
Im hoping that Martin Horgan is sorting out the various problems he has inherited. I would assume he is savvy enough to have had a good idea what was going on before he took job.
Lets hope all the bad news is out of the way and things will get better soon. Im not getting any younger.

I hope that somebody at Centamin does read this board and that Martin Horgan does dig into his pockets and purchase some shares soon. He's not short of a bob or two so maybe a buy 200,000 shares followed by a few more in the next month or so of 100,000 a time?

You would think that after all the money that erma has had from centamin, that they would be doing all they could to help Centamin out, regards reduced profit share, favourable rates for fuel, Cough cough Law 32 .
If they took a reduced share but Centamin could expand and produce more gold at lower costs, then they would get it back in spades.

Ive been in here about 10 years as well. Its been a rocky road. Im hoping for growth and good dividends as well. If you think about it, long term "investing" in shares should be about the dividends as otherwise it is buying/ selling/ trading and a bit like a pyramid scheme, someone gets in at the wrong time and loses out.
I cannot afford to put anymore money in here although i would have liked to this morning.
Im hoping the past and all the dodgy stuff that we have seen, although not at the time, is behind us. I think the next one is the one where Horgan starts to take reponsiblilty and not blame things on the past.

It is a pity that Egypt/ Erma have not been prepared to take a smaller share of the profits or at least defer them so money could be spent on exploration and development. Sorting out the whole Law 32 thing would be a sign that they are at least trying to do something positive.

In the mean time, Im sure things will carry on as normal here with people saying they sold near the top, called the bottom , got back in and top sliced.

Sotolo , prior to "the wall" events (doesnt time move on? 2 1/2 years ago now? ) you were saying you expected Centamin to go up to £3. Lets say Barrick or Endevour or anyone else doesnt come in with an offer of £1.50, will you sell your holding IF (WHEN!) we reach that price?(£1.50 , not the £3)

I mentioned recently that a small dividend increase of 1c this time round would be a postive thing. I know that profits are down and there is not as much money in the chest, but with the recent increase in gold price and the solar coming on line, I think this would send out a good message.
Without going over the past (Yes you Mr T :-) ) and what happened, Centamin used to be known for doing better than the estimates.
I think now Martin Horgan has been around a bit and started to get things in place, that a small increase in the dividend now might send out a message to the market that things are starting to look up at Centamin.

I had a quick scan through the first bit ( running late today--late breakfast after doing the shopping). It struck me that Sukari is down as 160km so even without the court case being settled , it looks like is is agreed about the size of Sukari. The case has being going on for so long , Centamin could probably claim "Squatterrs rights" on the land anyhow :-)

The cost cutting seems to be going well and while ounces mined is good, if they are expensive to mine that is not so good. Get the costs down and its better than working harder to stand still.

Looking at the predicited ounces going to be mined, it doesnt look like any rash predicitions, but lets hope the targets are met and exceeded.

Im not gettng any younger. It would be nice to get the flip flops before a shroud!

There was somebody on the Centamin board a couple of months ago saying what a dog the share was and telling everybody that he was piling into here at £1.05 for a quick profit. Sometimes things turn round and sometimes they go the way of Sirius.
We just dont know otherwise we would all be rich!

What would you reckon the share price and profit would be if gold holds around the $1950 --$2000 mark?
Hopefully it will stay around this mark --------even when (I hope it is when and not "if") the Ukraine situation is sorted.

When you think about it Mr T Erma/ Egypt itself should be wanting to get Centamin/ Sukari and the other parcels of land, up and running at a high capacity, as they are getting a big chunk of the profits.
We have not heard anything about the court case for a while. Have many years it that now? 9?
Maybe it has never been settled to deter any take over bids.

Hopefully, before we are all too old, this will come good and the golden flip flops will come out.

I know you have suffered along with a lot of us on here Razors. Im hoping for a nice but small surprise with final dividend. I think the figure of 5 cents has been mentioned before? If that were increased to 6 cents, then it should show that Martin Horgan has confidence in the way things are starting to go and maybe the market might take that as a good sign?

You look at some of the traders on here who always seem to get it right, but I wonder if their success rate is better than average?
There was someone in here a month or so ago ****ging the share and boasting how they got into boohoo at £1.05. Boohoo is in the mid 90's now. Im not saying it wont go up in the following months but with any share there are 3 options (1) it goes up (2) it goes down (3) it remains the same.

I remember "making hay" on this board years ago who seemed to be able to time the ups and downs very well when the share was in the 40's and 50's. He got out about 6 or 7 years ago and missed the rise up to £2 + (dont we all wish we had sold then and bought back in now? :-) )-----------------------------But look at it like this , the share is 1.5 times (maybe more) at the point Making Hay got out AND there have been 6 or 7 years of dividends as well.

Fingers crossed things pick up , Mr T gets his golden flip flops and you get your house built.

Sotolo--a question for you. IF (looking a fair way off yet) Centamin went up to £1.50 would you sell yours? If not , at what price would you sell?

Regarding gold, does this mean that more paper will have to be backed be physical gold? If so, then will there come a point sometime this years when a lot of the paper will have to be turned into physical gold? AND if this is to happen, how late will they leave it and what will it do to the price of physical gold?
