You’d think that if they were going to require an extension then they would know with less than a week to go to the deadline, and should therefore inform the parties.

If they didn’t pick them up off another large holder then they should have been notifying the market as soon as they got to 3%. So I suspect it is a transfer but only Blackrock or possibly Fidelity own enough for them to secure that amount. I suppose they could have bought off several institutions but as you say we should be notified soon enough.

Whilst I’m sure the Israelis will drive a hard bargain, with inflation and energy prices rising I would expect Sea Lion costs to rise too.

May end up being $50/bbl breakeven for Phase 1 but still healthy profits to be had at $70-80 Brent.

Again I’m surprised at the strength of this rise and no pullback yet. A pullback would probably be healthy but I wouldn’t mind seeing a new 80-100p range come into play.

With commodity prices as they are you’d think Parkmead (and/or its assets) would be very much in the eyeline of a variety of oil & gas companies (small and large). That’s without the windfall tax incentives.

Very exciting times now and the market seems to be waking up. Still work to do but I don’t think there has been a better time to capitalise.

I’d be concerned if news had leaked and the share price only rose a penny on low volume - that would suggest a pretty poor result from OM.

If it jumped 10p on volume I'd start to assume a positive leak.

Certainly nice not to see a major pullback this morning, which is what I was expecting after such a rise. Perhaps it will gain in strength from here and find a new range - 70-100p?

Parkmead has always had multibag potential but perhaps never more so than now.

Let’s hope this is just the start as energy security and investment in oil & gas become ever more important.

Thanks Joe I hadn’t seen that document before - an interesting read and I see they admit some mistakes in there too so fair play to them for fessing up!

I haven’t looked at the Admission Doc for some time but it will be interesting to look and see how their final analysis compares to what had gone before.

I think they got very excited by one set of seismics which they thought was superior to the others, but unfortunately it turned out it wasn’t.

Let’s hope they have learned the lesson for Serenity anyway, although that appears on the face of it to be a bit less complicated. I hesitate to say that after just one well, but in theory there is every reason to be hopeful at least.

The worm is starting to turn for the oil & gas industry and Parkmead might just be in the right place at the right time.

Somebody is very keen today, picking up regular 10,000 chunks.

It does seem like the 40-60p range has broken and we might be entering a 60-80p range now.

With gas prices as they are, and incentives to invest in the North Sea, Parkmead are looking a better proposition than they have done for a long time.

Still work to do of course but massive potential if the stars align.
