I would expect anyone with a logical brain on shorting AML would have opened it as soon as the RNS came out on Friday.... and closed this morning as soon as it was clear SP wasn't going to drop again. Any short expecting it to drop through the new 50p support level, is gambling massively. IMO.

Guess what the issue is with higher than expected orders for DBX @CK? More funding to be able to build them.... it REALLY isn't difficult logic for anyone in business to get their head around.

Sorry to sound harsh @selecta6... but you've shown with several points there that you don't have a great handle on what's going on. But your average is good - so will come out smiling soon I think.

Yup all good.... waiting on a tele-conf. My involvement in Austria is low maintenance... I think. Not heard otherwise yet at least, might be more PR shiz. No hospitality there so I don't need to be there. Looking forward to seeing some racing!

Exactly.... 20% of shares being exactly at 50p, regardless of anything else, creates a very strong resistance level.

I'm not a large investor.... but I jumped right in - and already up to the tune that most investment funds will earn you in a year. So....

Why? Creating 20% more shares, at 20% below the then SP makes perfect sense?

Evidence? The placing sold out in under 2 hours. By very nature that means it was hugely popular.

Staked me bets.... grabbed some more AML at 8.05, looking like the market likes where we are.
Jumped back into BP and topped up RR too as both on recent lows. Will have a think about topping up F1 too this arvo.... on a downward slide last week, but returns to racing in Austria this week! That might help the sentiment here too.

Just on Bloomberg 2 minutes ago, Argonaut capital founder was talking some sense. Said stay away from tech, focus on cyclicals, as those stocks are the one which will accelerate most rapidly ad the economy opens up. AML would be classed as a cyclical....

He also pointed out that no country who saw a significant first wave, is seeing signs of a second wave of Covid. I'd not actually noticed that! Portugal and Sweden where very low when everyone else's high. Death rates in the US are actually still low - as the median infection age is under 30.

Indeed! I hardly watch the news any more. Bloomberg replaced it in the morning.

I think the markets and retail and going be shocked how much money people have to spend - because they haven't been able to for 4 months! It's certainly what I've been seeing in my business, in the same luxury automotive sector as AML.

The majority of Aston car buyers won't even know about what happened last week....

From the other side, any brand advocates who truly understand what is going on at AML should know that's what being done will benefit the resale price of their car.

SP fell to 28p for a reason. It climbed to 88p for a reason. Fell to 50p for a reason. Personally I think 50p is fair value for where things are at the moment.... until DBX start flying out the door. Or the next RNS ;o)

I'm not confident. The close price on Friday was actually precise, because that represents where the new market price would be equivalent to Thursday close. Effectively we are on a par now to close on Thursday. ie - nothing to bounce from. IMHO.

But the bounce will come from positive news..... the bounce isn't the news in its own right ;o)

I read this as calm and calculated to keep head above water, in the face of an unpredictable pandemic. Nicely done.
