I think you could have still joined in in the bid @chefpatron - it was through a 3rd party website called primary bid - and you put your specific broker account number in, for them to send the shares to.

I haven't seen that anyone who bought shares in this process has in their trading account yet. I haven't for sure - should have been visible yesterday morning.

Almost @da95649.... but shorters have to BUY out of the position - they don't own the shares in the first place, just borrowed them. Which can be why when SP reaches an obvious bottom, it can kick up really fast.

AML could easily go private yes.

If I was Stroll it is what I would do.... take it private, turn the company around in relative calmness without all us idiots involved at all, then either re-float a healthier company in a calmer environment - or just sell it.

If this happens, they need to buy our shares off us - and for sure would be a fair premium to current SP.

The price wasn't announced until after the bid was closed for a start, it was a blind bid. At that point there was a benefit at 50p.... the then SP was 20% higher. The 50p shares will be added to investors accounts directly. It doesn't matter what SP is when they were added.... it's a specific volume of shares that have been bought. It's not complicated, seriously.

Only thing making me nervous is the dow must surely retrace at some point, and that will take the more sensibly rated FTSE down too. You only have to map todays graph AML/FTSE against each other to see how close they are related.

@dreamachine do you have no real idea how markets work? Do you not understand why this SP is NOT going noticeably under 50p? Because 20% of total shares are at exactly this price? It really is only common sense....

80p in July is unfathomable.... unless something huge happens.

I too would assume option C. I think one assumption that may be incorrect though is that de-stocking needs to be to zero - which it wouldn't.

Interestingly, my back of a fag packet guesstimate calculations put the 25 Bond cars (which you omitted to mention) at £55m profit....

I don't have a crystal ball no. I'm looking at the FTSE NOW. and AML NOW. Not predicting the future....

If you don't think AML generally reacts to/moves with the FTSE you haven't been watching close enough.
