The thing you have to balance this against though is what value does Hamilton bring to the Mercedes brand, in increased exposure and sales around the world? I would guess that 40mill is chicken feed in comparison.....

Looking at the F1 team specifically - there is a new budget cap coming in next year of 150mil. A fraction of what the big boys usually spend - and even a good chunk below what Racing Point usually spend. It's going in the right direction. The PR impact will be HUGE!

SP might sometimes hold against a falling FTSE.... but it would be very rare for it to climb against a falling FTSE. IMO.

For sure I wouldn't be selling OUT out on a FTSE down day.... as everything is sure to bounce back when FTSE does.

Yes... I sold before the fall and bought under 50, because it was obvious. I sold this morning at 50 and bought at 45. I trade using logic, not emotion. Again I have the same number of shares as 3 weeks ago, for less cost.
