Too many finals to mention, didn't want to waste time typing that many!!

Maybe this time he's run out of cans to kick, will have no choice but to complete? We can only hope.

Do you count yourself among the mugs here? I know I do but left with no real choice, hold and hope or sell at a big loss, which is lesser of the two evils only time will tell.

I only just found out about this in the last half hour and by the time I logged into HL and found the offer messages, it already closed.

Must have been some heavy demand for shares at that price so hopefully will bode well for my existing worthless holding!

Maybe Harry didn't exactly say "definitely happen in September" but rather "expected in September", slightly different I'll admit.

However the headline from Director's Talk page could be seen as misleading "KEFI Gold and Copper confirms September financial close for Tulu Kapi Gold project", again, not quite what the RNS said, 'confirms' suggests 'definite' but as we know to our cost already this may not be the case.

If and when it happens, then I'll believe it.

On the face of it, this is a great RNS; all the necessary documentation is at the final, final, FINAL hurdle and Harry says finance close will definitely happen in September, just 26 days away at the earliest.

Looking at the SP today I would say the markets think otherwise and they firmly believe this is yet another false dawn simply because there have been so, so many before.

But maybe, just maybe, this will be the final dawn before it actually happens, and when it finally does then sit back and watch the SP re-rate.

I certainly hope it is as like most I've been here a long, long time, trading in & out, and sitting on a fair old loss.

As usual, there seems to be a total disconnect between reality and the stock market, no way should this be down on such good results.

I think they were sensible not to upgrade forecast though as if future results came in lower than expectation it wouldn't look good, better to maintain and then match or beat expectation next time, a much better look and better for them and investors, IMO.

Market now closed, anyone still holding is locked in until the temporary suspension is lifted and they are re-admitted to trading.

That includes me and not what I was hoping for today, but to sell at a loss seemed like a bad move and holding the lesser of 2 evils.

I hope I did the right thing, only time will. Not too much time, hopefully.

Some buyers paid 18p this morning and plenty of trades.

500,000 @ 1.0425 bang on market close.

They'll still take them, brokers must know they can sell them easy - at a higher price - on Monday morning.

HL will still take 500,000 this close to the bell. Must be a positive sign.

Buys far outweighing sells by number and volume since 10:24 this morning, seems to be plenty of demand. Good to see some buys @ 1.07 too, bit more than I paid on Wednesday. Glad it wasn't just me that could have topped up a little cheaper.

Hopefully good news/results on the not-too-distant horizon (Monday maybe? Or 1 day next week? Hopefully not bad news at 5pm today!!), for sure they won't be at this low price for long.

Having no problem selling 500,000 on HL so someone must want them. I already added 300,000 to my existing 200,000 the other day, although should have waited and got in a little cheaper. Same old story for me, never get my timing quite right.

Roll on next week, fingers and everything else crossed for rocket fuel news and results 🤔

The 49.88k trade is a delayed sell from earlier.

The 26.25k is a buy, not delayed.

It's a shame to see the SP fall back to this level (incidentally those 'buys' at 1.03p/1.0325p are sells, same price to sell on HL just now) but I think this is just pre-result trading and manipulation of the share price - no leak of news, no big sell off.

Today's 60-odd trades aren't that remarkable, I wouldn't say there was anything significant in either volume or value, just selling pre-results and others taking advantage of the lower price to buy in or buy back in - opportunity knocks.

Price to sell on HL just rose to 1.0375p.

Tomorrow we will know for sure and I suspect the SP will be higher by COP tomorrow than it is today.

The IAG SP drop today is a reflection of the results from EZJ and UAL.

IAG is not EZJ. IAG is not UAL. Different markets, different business model.

All will come good when IAG results for H1 are released next Friday.

Also, we shouldn't forget that IAG are buying back almost a million shares every single day so they are making plenty of money.

Conspicuous by his/her/their absence since May 23rd it seems.

Years of "header say all" and now a cash raise happening at 0.80p, it hardly bodes well. I sold out at a loss some months and glad I did but knowing my luck it'll be 10p in a year and I'll wish I hadn't! Hey ho.

Still hoping for something positive here, messed up my PF with trades in HE1 and need 5p a share to get my investment back, let alone make a profit. I'd be happy with that after all tis time tbh.

@ zoolook - don't worry, I think I'm just confused generally when it comes to share prices and the stock market, probably explains why I've made so many terrible decisions and awful investments or got my timing so badly wrong, like selling RR a couple of years back at 146p thinking they weren't really going anywhere!! Oops.

LDG still remains my biggest win to date though, made 28% ROI back in 2022 but then invested that in Petro Matad which I since dumped at a loss as could see that getting completely wiped out; knowing my luck it won't and will probably be 25p in a year!

Not currently invested here but still watching out of interest.
