I'm holding a few quid back for a further top up here & i expect a huge rebound at some point during next weeks trading!

I think once Liquidnet is merged into the ICAP fray it will ultimately generate lots more business & i can see a bright future ahead here, but short term this could be fairly volatile. A lot of investors have bailed here as the dividends have been hit to part finance the acquisition. If this were to dip close to 200 pre RI i'll get in, but other than that best to wait for dust to settle!

Totally disagree. The falls here are because of pure manipulation designed to encourage fear based on pure speculation. The fundamentals are good so once the shorting stops the price will rise. The charts can't account for short selling activities!

Back in the 90s i used to work for BT as a corporate Account Manager. Lots of my accounts in the City were small companies. The largest at the time was a company called Garban Intercapital. A mid sized one was Prebon Marshall Yamane. These 2 along with a raft of smaller business over the years have gradually merged into what is now ICAP. This is a very niche market & only a handful of big players. They basically act as a middleman between the big finance houses (i.e interdeal) & take a small % of the trade. I am hugely interested in the potential of this company with the Liquidnet acquisition. These companies are hugely cash generative. On paper at first glance it looks like a bit of a no brainer. My only real issue here is the lack of significant insider buying & maybe the price is a bit too high for Liquidnet (but that is difficult to assess). Definitely i'm going to buy in here but will be waiting till the RI is over to see the true ex rights price when it settles. GLA

i agree, the chart stuff isn't too relevant once you're in uncharted SP territory. As i see it, unless you think this company is going bust this really is a no brainer time to buy in. Just got to look at the probability here. On the one hand it could dip say to 70p, highly unlikely i would say. Or it could go to 130 in a couple days! same %age downside v upside. Well worth the gamble i'd say!

Selling this share at sub £3 when OP has been around $55PB for last 3months 10 days before results is bizarre i think. This will be 330+ after 2nd Feb

i was quite happy with today's performance. There was clearly huge resistance to the shorts early doors making me think this can't go a great deal lower. I expected sub £1 today tbh, but didn't happen & it was a bit of a down, down day all round, so a decent performance as it could've been a bit of a bloodbath!

Mainly for any newbies, but whatever you do do not sell these shares at these levels. This will bounce. When? who knows. It may go sub £1 but it will come back. I've seen this nonsense on so many decent shares: NEX, RR, IAG, MRO. They all come back with a vengeance. The worst feeling is selling out then looking next day & it's boomed off. I been there before & it's not nice. Sit on your paper loss & wait. Patience will prevail. I know there's a few peeps on here who been on other shares where i been too & same thing has happened. Patience will prevail!!!

GF, take some time & read some great posts from last day or 2 (miles & Poker posts) for a bit more insight into SFO stuff. Looks like PFC are adamant they are innocent as a corporation at least!

MF articles are the biggest crock of nonsense i ever seen. Always contradict themselves within a day or 2. & the rationales they give for their predictions are so bizarre. Sadly i think a lot of newbies treat them as Gospel!

Can someone enlighten me here, got a poster saying this share hit 50p 4 years ago. As far as i can see on the historic SP charts this is by far the lowest this share has ever been. Am i missing something?
