Well the Directors certainly don’t try to engender themselves with Shareholders, when Mr Staley has just taken a£365k cash bonus, as part of last years £5.9m income. That could be a ‘bit rich’ for shareholders if the div now goes !

They could face a legal challenge if the divi is cut, given the record date was set some time ago. Their cover defense will be if the PRA steps it and orders its suspension. Can’t imagine they wish to go ahead with anyway now, given the tsunami of bad debts heading their way....but are banks always known for their prudence !

See Jefferies has today cut Aviva’s price target to 355p, down from 500p......not very reassuring of them !

PFD under no obligation to issue TU , unless there’s a material change in circumstances, a mere boost in recent volumes that could be reasonably be expected doesn’t need reporting. Year end was 28th March so not long to wait anyway.
Ps. interesting the Ocado update was immediately followed by a flurry of Director share transactions , so was this more for the benefit of shareholders or management !

With a near 35% revenue exposure to the aviation sector its hardly surprising MRO is taking a bath when coupled with its debt. Currently thats not a good combination.

Don’t know about 6 months but another month of negative news , which you can rely upon the UK media to provide in abundance,, and daily sells then NXT has no where to hide without any ability to release positive news. Completely unchartered territory when all trading has ceased. Can only see it moving one way. In 6 months without change then ‘life support’ will have been switched off.

Agree there is a risk of employee infection and potential site(s) closure although they do have multiple sites and good automated processing plant in many so one assumes they run on reduced personnel already. Hopefully any closures would be short lived with little risk to product but as Pot Noodles seem an essential to some, I guess they’ll move fast should that line be at risk !

Absolutely, and deferment of FD decision is a prudent move. I’m a buyer again at this level.

Best leave it a few weeks before assessing whether there has been an over reaction here ! But it is interesting to compare the civilised worlds reaction to a threat when its no longer on their TV, but on the doorstep. Malaria kills well in excess of 1000 every day of the year, most in Africa, but reaction to that is muted because it doesn’t directly most of us. All lives are precious and equal, maybe this event will help change minds.

milnrowmug....likewise I’m not invested and have no intention of doing so until ‘normal service’ is resumed, whenever that may be. EZJ have a reasonably strong balance sheet, for an airline, and a good portfolio of landing slots but all of that means little if you can’t fly ! .Haven’t studied their hedging programme but assume it will cost them dearly. Would be surprised if SP strengthens further given all the unknowns but I’ve given up trying to understand this Markets logic !

Also the first to feature algo-trading, which fed the Dow climb yesterday. It was clear late last week that many US funds were beginning to take positions expecting such a rally and before orchestrating same. Powerful money speaks.
