To the de-rampers:
If you bet the house (or whatever) on RKH without doing your own research, sat on your hands while watching the sp collapse and then you come here bleating and having a go at other posters, that just makes you look even more silly.
If all you can contribute is just to repeat the same old rubbish several times, every day, that shows that you don't have much original thought of your own - "Birds of a feather"!

I get it, if you express an opinion that the de-rampers don't like, then they turn on you, and try and drive you away.

I stand by my opinions and say to the de-rampers (who only have one monotonous message) that there have been a many great opportunities to trade and profit here, quite apart from the whole FI/SL business still being by no means over yet.

If the de-rampers, like Ralph, just sat on their hands while watching the sp collapse, then they've only themselves to blame.

And then they try and blame posters like me for their ineptitude. Anyone else who "ticks" their posts in approval, as well as being equally dim, is also easily led by others, who publicly post that they're clueless and have messed-up their own affairs.

Translated into English: "So crawl back under your rock Ovets, you should feel bad about your earlier ramping that us so called "de-rampers" called you out on......" means:
"I have messed up my own affairs, so I'm going to spend the rest of my days moaning about my failures and I'll insult anyone who has any other opinion than mine."

"This is a bigger pile of cr@ap than RKH and that takes some doing !", translated into English means:
"I'm bl@@dy useless at investing, I've managed to pick two losers, bet the house on them and now I'm going to blame everyone else before the wife finds out and I have to tell her why I've lost everything"!!

When I think of all the things one can do in a day, COVID or not, I agree with markednmbr1 about why these people waste their lives posting the same old thing, several times-a-day, every day.

We come here to discuss, learn, etc., not to have our ears bashed, as over on ADVFN, where a few drunken bores have taken over what was once the best discussion group.

If you think this is a dead duck, then why waste what's left of your life here?
If, on the other hand, you reckon this could be a runner, then at 6p/share, it must be one of the bargains of the decade.

Oilbeback, every time there's a positive announcement the sp overshoots - usually not by much, but by enough to make a few bob (just look at the beginning of January when the NAVITAS announcement was made).
Most people hang on because they think it's off-and-away, or at least going a bit higher and as usual, it quickly retrenches and the opportunity has gone.
When a really important announcement is made (e.g. positive OM arbitration award, NAVITAS signs-up, a takeover bid, FID, etc.), then RKH sp would seriously overshoot. This would happen for virtually any share.
It's knowing when to take your winnings, or watch the sp retrench, or run away as some initial rumour becomes a fact.

S4T, I think you're spot-on, although with PoO so depressed, I can understand why any arbitration award has been delayed.
Only the Italians would have wanted any award to have been announced during spring/summer 2020!

Another thing to remember, for the bolder traders, is that on good news, the sp will overshoot.
It's just a matter of judging it right. That's when the the fun starts and the adrenalin kicks-in!!

Wishful thinking, no doubt, but I'm convinced Chrysaor have calculated very carefully what they're acquiring .
A vulnerable outfit with ageing North Sea assets, but which can provide immediate revenue, plus an astonishing tax bonus to start things off.
Monetise Zama, which was always the plan, but you've got to look as though you're going through with it to obtain a decent valuation. I suppose you might even have to do so if the right bidder doesn't materialise, then sell as PoO rises.
Quietly renegotiate some of the SL contracts - (some of the contractors lined-up must be pretty pliable at the moment) and perhaps some "meaningful" discussions with the FIG, in preparation for rapid FID/sanction in a rising market, where SL alone is worth the effort, but with vastly greater regional potential, determined by the market and circumstances.

Of course, the wheels could come off again (how many times so far since SL was discovered), but the upside opportunities with Chrysaor are eye-watering. NAVITAS won't want to lose out, but I don't reckon RKH will survive until first oil.

As I've said for years, it'll make absolutely no difference at all to our need for oil/gas and therefore, SL's prospects.

If you're not convinced, just view Michael Moore's documentary, recommended by Surfit.

Shareguard, that was one of the suggested reasons last time this was discussed.
Some trades may fall into this category, but that means a lot of investors, who just happen to hold RKH shares, aren't paying their account fees.
I very much doubt a broker would sell 20 RKH shares of someone's holding to raise £1.20 and what about all the other sub-20 trades?
There's another explanation, which no one seems able to produce.

For about 3 years, I've been hearing from various sources, that Zama would be "monetised".
That rumour started long before things in Mexico started looking awkward, so I have very little doubt that Zama will be "disposed of", which of course does then move SL up the chart.

We've had the discussion before about trivial trades (was it on the ii BB?), where some thought it might be MMs signalling to each other and other ideas, but no definite answers.
There do seem to be an unusually large number of "ordinary" trades for ridiculously small sums going on, or at least more than can be easily explained.
Where I trade, even with a discount for regular trading, for some of these transactions the commission/charges would be significantly more than the shares are worth.

I think that's a pretty fair assessment, however, today's PMO RNS announcement is still a very important step in the right direction.

Correction Ralphybabes, but PMO IS the same, at least until the Chrysaor offer goes through, so please be accurate and stick to the facts.
Even then, other than TD, it's widely expected that PMO will continue to function within the Chrysaor empire, but perhaps even better managed?

Anyway, who says oil demand will fall after a COVID cure/treatment is found?
SL's not going into production the day after COVID is brought under control. By the time SL is in production, oil demand is likely to be more than can easily be met, with little or no new nuclear energy coming on stream and investment in renewables throttled.
It's quite possible that COVID will have skewed oil demand in our favour, once the dust has settled. Otherwise, we're all buggered, if economies struggle to recover.

I suggest you keep your head down, if you have trouble understanding the facts.

Yes, FI oil reserves are a drop in the global ocean - as one "expert" pointed out, if FI proven reserves were to supply the World, they'd be used-up in about 4 days, but we're not talking about FI reserves in that context.

No infrastructure, eh? Agreed, not much built, but actually there is some building work going on right now, but much more important, key sites identified and planning already progressing. If you look at other projects, that's where most of the time and delays occur, so not quite right on that one either Ralphybabes.

There's no "New PMO" - it's the same old PMO as ever was, except without TD.
Chrysaor have shown their skill, mopping-up resources approaching the end of their life cycle, but this time, they appear to be picking up a brand new resource, with all the ducks in a row, and the FIG seem keen to get this thing going before it's too late.
I see Chysaor driving some very hard bargains, which indeed could include walking away from the FI, but I don't believe that's their objective.

Short-term and of course oil demand is low, but that's of little relevance to SL.

Could be wrong, but as I see it, the oil majors aren't investing in new exploration projects, because their shareholders are looking beyond fossil-based energy, plus the fact that current demand is low, so what's the point in wasting valuable resources, exploring for something that going out of fashion?

However, if you're sitting on a proven mega oil field, with probably much more in the adjoining area, that's a different story.
Once some sort of cure/vaccine is generally available, then governments are going to have to revive their economies not just to undo all the economic and social damage done over the past year, or so, but also to pay for the massive debts incurred.
To do that, in the short term, they'll be forced to look at the cheapest sources of energy. So, very likely oil & gas will experience an unexpected new lease of life just to get humanity somewhere near where it was when COVID came along.
As we've seen, 21st century humans can't even tolerate a few weeks of inconvenience, let alone waiting several years, for renewables to fill the void created by abandoning fossil fuels.

Add to that the considerable instability of the Middle-East and calls by IS to destroy Saudi oil facilities.
SL (and the wider NFB) is ready to go ideally placed to fill that void for the period when fossil-based energy will be needed.
