Well, you put it the way you want, but yes, there is a considerable degree of misinformation and if you can't see that, that probably explains why you post so much drivel.
Politicians are in a difficult place, having to get re-elected within every 5 years, so there's not much time between elections to get important things done, as we're seeing right now.
They have to say all the right environmental things, otherwise they're toast, but they've also got to keep the lights on and taxes manageable, otherwise they're toast.
Godfrey, instead of arguing about everything, why not spend that time researching what's really happening, right now:
- what happens with Green Energy certificates;
- what happens regarding the manufacture and replacement of EV batteries;
- what is needed to maintain "renewable" electricity supplies at all times;
- the true costs of manufacturing, use and maintenance of renewable energy generation equipment;
- the true cost and pollution created by every vehicle from raw materials to scrap yard;
- the current situation regarding commercial vehicles and shipping, on which we all rely to survive;
- etc.
You'll find that underlying it all continues to be a dependence on oil and gas, far greater than you appear to understand.
When you've done that research, then come back and resume your arguing.
