Gordon, don't like Barclays at the best of times, but that sounds particularly s h 1 t to me.
You should be able to exercise your right at any time, not on random dates they dictate. Looks as though their systems are s h 1 t, otherwise what's the problem?
Anyway, I know some have already done their warrant thing, which is OK if that's what they want to do, but frankly there's absolutely no rush, at least not until 5pm, 31/12/23, which is the deadline.
For those who've exercised their warrant rights already, I just wonder why they didn't buy some extra shares a week or two ago, when the sp was below 7p. The shares they'd have ended up with would have been just as good as the ones they've bought through their warrants, except they'd have paid more than 2p less for the same things.
I see the warrants as more of a longer-term facility, if the sp were to jump significantly, perhaps to a level where I'd consider selling some of my holding (e.g. 50p or more). I could sell those bagging a nice profit, while knowing I could buy the same number, using my warrants, for 9p thereby ending-up holding the same number of shares, but with a nice profit as well.
HL are far better organised - I thought they'd make a pig's ear of it, but have been completely trouble-free so far.
