My mind goes back to Malcy's interview with TD. When asked about this sort of thing and timings, TD wouldn't look at Malcy, but instead looked at the floor.

Phrases in the RNS such as: "Should the application be well received, we anticipate moving into a phase of detailed lender due diligence and documentation during Q4 2019" don't exactly fill doubters with confidence that recipients of the PIM will be madly enthusiastic about it.

I interpret that as: "well, we've done the best we can and let's hope they like it and don't focus too much on the issues".

Something not mentioned very much is this year's Argentinean general election.
All this points to no big announcement being likely until the outcome of that is known.

I disagree with much of what you post, but I'm coming round to the idea of RKH representation on the FI and even shutting down the London office to save cash, but how to make it work and what would our staff do there?

At about £10-a-piece, that's not bad and might even remove the need for an office, as all RKH staff would wander around the FI, meeting the people and pressing the flesh (or the flipper).
Maybe even have "Robbie/Ronnie The Rockhopper" competitions to increase our exposure?

With our recently acquired cash, we might even give away Robbie/Ronnie suits, so that ALL FI inhabitants are fully engaged.

You need your staff (and RKH hasn't any to spare) in the right office in the right place, where the right people can reach you easily and comfortably.
Unless you're not discussing/negotiating anything with anyone, being out of London would be unthinkable.
Even Salisbury is commercially "the back of beyond" and Port Stanley might as well be on Mars.

That suggestion shows just how much the carrot has its finger on the FI local pulse. If you really mean this, then the rest of your postings are now completely discredited.
I know a number of people who live/work in the FI. It's true to say that, generally, they don't want their region turned into another Dubai, or into some other commercial circus, nor do they want a Deepwater Horizon disaster either.
However, for them this is a once-in-an-eternity opportunity to accumulate some wealth and reserves, as humanity faces a very uncertain future.
There are a very few dissenters, as you might expect, probably because of the potential disruption to their gentle lifestyle.
No one can predict with any accuracy how all this will progress, but it's up to the FIG to ensure it meets the vision of the majority, while taking into account the concerns of the minority.
So I ask again, carrot, at the moment, how do you see your new RKH Port Stanley office conducting its business, delivering value to shareholders, which is something you've moaned about more than most?

You were pretty emphatic in your posts about the absence of RKH staff in the FI:
- Does Rockhopper have even one member of staff working out of the Falklands?
- fecm : really? come on! If the Company cannot sit even one staff member in the Falklands to demonstrate its commitment to that oil, then there's no hope of license renewal, they would not have the "relationship" given their track record on financing.

Now that doesn't sound like someone in much doubt.
So as I asked you before, but you didn't answer, how is this RKH presence in the FI to be organised and what would they do? - there'd need to be more than one person and presumably they'd have an office, unless they sit on the Port Stanley jetty, next to the public phone box, armed with a note book and pencil. They wouldn't need to incur the cost of a camera, as they could spend some of their time drawing what they see in the notebook.

I think the new Boris government's top priority is NOT Brexit by 31/10/19 - they (including Dominic Cummings) know there isn't enough time left to 31/10/19, but they have to keep singing the Brexit song, not least to keep Farage under some degree of control.

then stop moaning carrot - nothing in this world is perfect, but sometimes you have to recognise when something's pretty good, or at least an improvement and as you were one of the moaners, or should I say worry stirrers. now that what you were asking for has happened, FFS just for once say something positive, otherwise you discredit yourself absolutely as a professional doom speller.

I seem to remember that the same old moaners about this were spreading doom and gloom at the prospects of RKH losing its FI licences, partly because it was running out of cash and wouldn't be able to afford to carry on beyond early 2020. What RKH needed most of all was an injection of cash. Maybe that might come from the OM claim settlement, but the moaners said the prospects of that are virtually zero, so RKH is doomed.

and of course, they moaned like hell when RKH squandered its money from PMO on buying cheap assets like this, and now moaning again when they're sold at a profit.
You can't please most people ALL of the time, but these oiks can't be pleased at any time.

If you can moan about buying something cheap and selling it at a profit, just at the time when you said RKH could do with some extra cash and that asset is in a country with a pretty dodgy administration, then you must be an idiot.
