Not sure it will get there but that is what's possible. I like they are only in 4or 5 countries at the moment, imagine if you'd got in at Sarbucks that early! Plus the brand here is incredibly strong show by what all I can say were unbelievable numbers last year during what must be the worst thing that can happen to a 'cafe' chain.
Monster is 100x stock but at one point dropped 40%, The hard part of getting multi baggers is holding on to them when they are down. Also why you need to understand the company or you'll get scared off

I was in Avast and that got bought out for a crazy low amount so wouldn't be a shock if this is the figure.
Hopefully not or that other bidders come in but UK tech is massively discounted and seems that owners are happy to sell out low rather than push the company against what seems an anti-tech/growth environment.

what do people think of the future of this company as in 5-10 years time?
any company that has the same market cap as it's net assets has to be of interest as you are basically buying it at pretty much no risk and get any growth for free.
However the main use of the metals they mine is catalytic converters and with the push, in the west anyway, for a move to electric cars, are people worried the floor will fall out of the demand for these metals?

As I say I'm interested in how people see this and if anyone does see it as a long term play (and if so why?), so not looking to upset holders, just looking to understand the sustainability of this company.

Love a discount just hope market is still down this time next week when I have more money to spend.

Won't be adding here but whilst you shouldn't listen to some guy on the internet, I don't think global markets will be pulled down simply because, unlike US and Europe markets, Chinese market is more 'isolated' so the damage won't ripple the way it did in 2008.
On the other hand, it's only when (if) Evergrande goes down that you will find out what banks have been lending to them.
Maybe 'scary' if you have a lot of banking stock but otherwise a market drop for a reason that has no effect on your company's sector is only a opportunity to buy the same stock but at a discount.

1sam1 just looking at the share price is a really bad way to invest and I'm afraid you'll lose a lot.
Companies have different numbers of shares so mppotus said Glencore is 20 times bigger but also has a put 20 times the number of shares hence share prices are similar (also G'core is much more diversified and less reliant on Iron (actually not sure it does any Iron!)).

If you are still accumulating shares you want it going down, then you can buy more!
The only time you want the price going up is when you are looking to sell.
Of course not fun looking at red in your portfolio

I guess the uncertainty about winter lockdowns worry people, even though I expect infrastructure jobs and work in general to keep going this time.
Also it has gone up a lot since the low a year ago so with uncertainty people will look at taking profit.
I won't but only because I have small position here so will see any big pull back as opp to buy (assuming company stays looking sound) but understand people looking to get some cash as in general there's chat about a market wide pullback (usually that means there's cash on the side waiting for a pull back so a drop should not be too deep or long lasting but that's just IMO so DYOR)

@Vinod good luck for the future but just out of interest have you taken into account the dividend you've picked up since you've held the shares?
Looking at the share price I would guess you bought in about Feb with your 350 shares costing just over £1,000.
I reckon you have been paid about £140 of dividends net since then so have made about 14% return in 7 months.

That sounds a pretty good return so wondered if you had taken that into account or just saw the price dropping recently and felt you needed to get out? At that rate you'll have made back your initial investment in 5 years no matter what the share price does (assuming you thought the company would still be active in 5 years).

no worries buying or selling at any price, everyone has to make the decision that are right for them.
If you are checking share price every day and/or losing sleep about what is happening you are much better off selling out.
Buy ETFs that way you never have to worry about going to zero which I assume is the concern and if that is correct then either you have too much in this stock or else you are better suited not to invest in individual shares (not a judgement just advice (take it of leave it)).

Personally big div paying stocks like this and a few others I have, I have no problem with the share price dropping as it means that next time I buy in I will get an even higher dividend on my shares. IMO the share price is very low fundamentally for the company so the only major reasons to sell out are a) you think the world are going to stop needing Iron, b) you don't trust the board (BTW never buy into a stock no matter how cheap it looks if this is ever the case!) c) Russia invades half of Ukraine and something happens to the company's mine d) you see a better opportunity that will give you a better return on capital then here.

If you aren't worried about the world not needing Iron and you trust the company, surely a sale is what you love as it's the best time to buy.

Of course price can always go lower in short term but that's why if you are buying individual stocks you have to have a decent idea of the company and fundamentals, otherwise you will never know what a good price is. Just looking at a share price or a current dividend yield can make you money but is not a sound long term strategy.

certainly heading the right way. I don't think (famous last words) we will see any more global shut downs, maybe some pull backs in the winter, but nothing like the country/continent wide shutdowns of last year.
All we need now is that airport pilot to be called a success and after all the pics of airport queues there's definitely a gap there, to add another stream of income from a new industry sector.

Hopefully this won't get stolen on the cheap by a US firm.
That's currently the main threat to getting big gains from this company as seems most countries won't be locking down again no matter how bad covid gets. Even if say there is a big spike and UK locks down over winter we have global customers so whilst the price may drop on general sentiment I doubt the company will suffer

Well at least Accesso shares are making up for it.

Not financial advice (as all the yourtubers say) but sold out of my shares in Avast this morning to add more here as I do believe it's likely this will go a good deal higher (and Avast won't do anything now until their takeover completes).
Even if all the offers fail to materialise I am confident in this as a long term play but of course will take a cheeky 50%-100%+ short term gain if it's offered.
