The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
If there was any hint of or a strategy for a takeover then the BOD would know about it. The question is do you trust the BOD to act in our best interests? We are bur pawns in this game
The various bits of speculation do make you wonder. Every man has his price. I suspect there is more than an element of truth in the Maxwell theory. Some say its David v Goliath, whereas others say "yes and look what happened there". I am considering a New years resolution not to look at the LSE BB for two months
Sadly, I did not and that is down to pure greed. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Get there again and you wont see me for dust
Down she goes again. So predictable this SP
So the trial seems to have been put back again to July 23? Will I last that long ??
Read AKs words carefully. All, ifs buts and maybes. Not that I would expect anything else in the present climate. The facts are that until solid figures are presented none of us can be sure as to how successful CPX could be. I await feedback from teh AGM
I believe AK recently said that CPX had no intention of paying any dividends in the near future. Therefore, the only incentive for any investor is an increase in the SP. We need a strategy to try and make that happen. Communication is the key
Sorry just cant undertsnd those with a pessimistic view of this share. You have to adopt a its only money approach or lese you would go nuts
But with no mention of the agreed rates or details of arrears. Originally, they paid a few million quid over 3 instalments then a 5% rate. If we have achieved total victory, then we are due a considerable sum
Careful JH you sound a bit like OS. Sure, it's not a duplicate account?
Simple question why was Maxwell delayed 7 months. Was it because of Maxwell's delays and if so how much longer could they possibly drag it out for ?
All you have got is faith, hope and charity. Sounds a bit more like Emmerdale than the stock Market. In fact, that is what CPx is i.e. a soap opera
Still not answered the question Flash. I get it that market makers want to buy cheap and sell high but that must be a high-risk strategy as there are always other factors at play which are beyond their control. Having said that you paint a picture of AIM as being effectively without any controls or monitoring. If that is the case, why would anyone want to invest in such an environment. It is of course not so bad for cash rich JH and myself (as its only money)
Flash. you talk of manipulation of the SP so could you please explain in layman's terms what you believe is going on here. I get that where there is money involved people will always try and find ways around the system (I used to be an auditor) but whats happening with CPX and how can you prevent/stop it ?
What is "market abuse" and what can anyone do about it? Who regulates it and what evidence is there that regulation is effective.
Or does everything come down to "you can't buck the market, warts and all
Week 39 market is down 1.7%, CPX down 11.7%. Heaven help us if Maxwell doesn't go according to plan
Well, there you are. The answer to life. the universe and everything is don't buy CPX
Mer 400 Been quite a good week actually. At 77 just picked up a really good gardening job which should keep me quiet for a while. Meanwhile as a Parish Councillor I had a first in that the Chairman left the chair in tears having never been "subject to such aggressive questioning". Sadly, though t I managed to scratch my brand-new car after 10 days . Then there's CPX............. Lifes never dull
Just completed my monthly spreadsheet to work out how much I am worth dead. CPX is lowest that its been this year (at month end). So much for a year of transformation. I'll be 100 before anything happens
Trading . It is noted that AVX royalties are "resuming". Could you ask whether this is at the previously agreed rate which I believe was 5% and what about "backpay". AVX as I recall was about £300kpa and if paid in full represent most of the trading loss. OS
