Of course CPX must defend its IP (if it is confident of winning) . What I am saying is that strategy is high risk if it is to be the cornerstone of your business. You say CPX is all about IP so why did it raise money recently to underpin sales initiatives. I suggest none of us really knows whats going on behind closed doors (let alone in AKs head) but primarily like everyone else the only thing I am really interested in is the SP. The question is AK playing Russian Roulette with our money?

My view is simply patent litigation is fine if you win. In this case we are taking on the big boys and there is a danger they can outspend us. It seems that we are entering a sxxt or bust stage, if we win its fine we will all get very rich, if we lose or its looks like we are going to lose it could be that we get taken over on the cheap. It seems to me to be an "all our eggs in one basket" strategy . Nothing is simple with CPX and I suppose it is going to be another 18 months wait and see period

Thanks. It is rather worrying that disputes often involving hugely technical language and interpretations are left to judges and juries who aren't expert either in the subject or the industry. I guess in such case the wording of the patent is extremely important as it should remove as much dubiety as possible. All this lack of certainty does however I suppose encourage transgressors to take a chance. It would also be interesting to know the results in more detail as with the recent CDE case I understand that they agreed to licence some of CPXs IP but we don't know for sure if it was the "family" that was in dispute. All in all this area seems to be a minefield

Is it fair to say that Marksman will give the judge an opportunity to give an "initial indication" of their reading of the case which might encourage settlement ?

Spot on PR. Have said it many times before but marketing is all about providing products that people want to buy. Someone recently used a relevant word about P and R inspired companies viz “dreamers”. The question is does AK seek to tell companies what they need to buy via his vision as to how things should be? The problem is of course that P and R alone is not producing enough revenue. Let’s face most of us are here because we got sucked in by AKs “vision”. Time to deliver AK or move over methinks.

My understanding is that one of MR's initial briefs was "to evaluate the potential benefits of establishing a local engineering and new business centre in Germany". Can anyone put the bones on precisely what this would involve and are there likely to be significant capital costs involved?

IWGROD Often all large holders are classed as IIs. These often include companies who operate nominee accounts . I was originally in TDW which is now II and owned by some Canadian outfit . Still pointless argument really . Large holders simply can have more potential influence both on the company and its share price.

Lets face it many of the so called IIs aren't that, they are third parties through whom investments are made. Now whether that is at the behest of the investor or the third party I don't know. All I said about large holders is that if any one decides to get out it will cause a considerable imbalance in the market i.e. supply would probably exceed demand. Its not rocket science JH, not negative spin just plain common sense.

The truth about how much Quilter are selling will be revealed over the coming weeks. It has been stated " its less than two eighths of three fifths of xxx all", whereas the truth is the RNS was I assume triggered by the percentage holding going below 15% ...so who knows. It may not be bad news but it certainly isn't good

Good question. Is this the start of a flood ? Come on you rampers please speculate. As I said before the results for the LY are expected not to be good, so is the much vaunted outlook that is likely to be "less than convincing". I must confess I am worried.

The disadvantages of supercapacitors
There are two main issues with supercapacitors right now, and the most alarming is energy density. Sure, supercapacitors can absorb and deliver a large amount of power, faster than lithium-ion batteries – but right now, they aren’t able to store as much.
It’s an issue that makes them less suitable for electric cars as things stand but doesn’t mean they should be ruled out in the future. Don’t forget it took a while to extract an acceptable mileage range out of lithium-ion battery systems, so there are opportunities for the energy density of supercapacitors to be improved by the clever folk working away on improving their efficiency.

I have no need to be fully aware of the "opportunities" as when all is said and done they are just that. They represent pure speculation. What we need is these opportunities to be converted into actual sales. I think even you have to agree that for the last number of years AKs positive forecasts have failed to materialise . We now face seemingly long term patent cases but I yearn for some actual real-time sales figures . What I am suggesting is that the likely earliest indication of those is some 6-7 months away , unless we get some interim positive RNSs something which CPX does not have a good track record on

I am trying to be realistic in that last year the main "forecast" was a an immediate strategy policy to increase licencing revenue, This was then followed up with an update which warned of the costs involved. Therefore any forecast /outlook is just that . What is really needed is more direct sales. Whilst licencing revenue is "easy money" at the moment it only represents 20% ish of total revenue so the percentage for 18/19 will be interesting. What I am trying to get a grip on is when can we realistically expect a return to the 10s

Much store has been put on the Oct results bringing a positive boost to the SP but surely these figures will only confirm the negative spin put on the finances in the June 6 update? Surely its the July -Dec figures that are the ones most likely to give us any indication of “green shoots” and we wont see them until next year. Surely AK knows that many LTHs wont hold on that long but perhaps that's what he wants?

Given that Brexit (especially if it is a no deal) is likely to have a significant effect on EU cars sales to the UK what are the realistic possibilities that all EU car manufacturers are holding back on any new investment and will this not have a knock effect on CPX?
