Bumped into our local pub landlord today, like many others. He also likes a dip. No plans to reopen the pub. He says its just not worth it . Rather see if it works and then wait till they lift all restrictions. I wonder how many others feel that way.

Hi T. Its actually not a bad trade Vod, it always moves a couple of pence, not usually big moves, if goes down a bit, I buy a few more and then it usually pops up again. Hardly notice its in the portfolio, and then suddenly there' s a small profit there and out she goes again. Should have been doing that for the last 20 years! Its a great wake up the dip, definitely sharpens up the mind. Dog used to be more afraid of the water than the cat, but quite likes a splash now and on better terms with the cat now come to think of it. At least he doesn't try to provoke her at every opportunity. Won't actually swim though even though he has webbed feet. Far worse than children!

IGP up 14% today. This could be a multi bagger according to one of the gurus on Stockopedia who has been waiting for this turnaround. I've been lucky trading it so far. Has been in a range of 49p-78p since March. Very small company so can get stuck, don't mind that when the end game is drawing closer. Struggled to get more shares today. Will get more tomorrow if it drops back which I'm not expecting. Air Partner going well still way off all time high and a much better business now. Made my weekly £50 on Vodabone today. Should have sold TW. yesterday and bought back today so easy with hindsight, but fairly obvious. Would have made rather a lot more than Vodafone trade. o well. Any musicians out there? G4music up 21% today. Still a long way off all time high. Again take a look at that if it drops back. Nice cold morning dip in the channel this morning! GL

morning all just! After a flatfish to negative start Dow has done its usual trick and 'reversed back up' for now. Such mixed news, such as there is. House builders and gold up little, oil down. A dull week in store?

Its been an ok week for me and hope it has for everyone too. Dodged some bullets and reorganised some situations. Probably be the same next week. They say you don't make money being comfortable. I'm beginning to feel that!

Its going to be tough for sure. There will be bankruptcy. There are quite a few companies performing poorly before the virus and have possibly been wrongly propped up by government aid. I can't understand why people would work and take furlough payments as well. They will be caught and made an example of. Talk about biting the hand that feeds. Then you have companies like IKEA that say they intend to pay back every penny of furlough. Good on them! It was always intended as a help out not a hand out

More good news from Air partners too. 13p it dropped to beginning of year, 80p now. Unfortunately I sold at 45p and had to buy back after, yes, another placing. SWG now 20% below placing mainly because auditors are behind. Never worry about not getting a look in on a placing, most times you can buy lower it seems.

Yes T . Bit of a relief actually. Lot of talk about house builders being over bought, recession bla bla. Uk worst hit economy 30% down. 24 hours later o its not as bad as we thought. Why can't the wait till they know what they are talking about. BOE on stand by with 150 billion. Every year they are short of house building targets by thousands. On the other hand we wouldn't get opportunities like that lol. Hope it holds.

So difficult not to invest. Interesting stats. Profits up 11%. Customers down 7%. SA economy down 7%.Doesnt seem bad compares to our 20/30% drop, but it was dire before Covid. Launched a support fund for SA businesses to raise 600 million from institutions by July I think. When I did a comparison check it beat 5 out 6 companies including 3i. The directors and employers trust are buying heavily owning 25% of company including purchase of 135,000 shares yesterday. Spun out from Investec, they launched March 16th at what must have been a pretty depressed IPO @ £1.56. Although they are essentially South African , the base is in UK for obvious reasons, and are a global investment company. Cash positive I believe. Hopeful as ever!

Picked up an interesting financial today N91, spun out of Investec, just as the pandemic hit the markets. They've been buying loads of own shares for staff and directors. Good momentum and income. Worth a look. Sp's been moving up fast but still below cash value apparently.

Well T. I suggest Macron goes and shacks up with Johno for quarantine as he's already had it. Then they can thrash out that oven ready Brexit that's not only not ready but the only thing cooked about it are the books.

The Dow seems to be 'rising back down ' to use hip American broker jargon. Yesterday it was 'reversing back up."Have seen a broker note £8.00 for CCL just now. Thats a buy recommendation if ever! TW. not turning out so great either. Market seems to want to knock the entire placing value off sp. So buying all the way down. In fact I tried to buy several times and they just kept making it cheaper for me. Very thoughtful MMs.

Have bought TW. just a little lower than placing price. My initial purchase agreed at £1.40 was declined. Usual tricks. Placing well oversubscribed raising 550 million. They say land is the best purchase in recession, so will see. If it falls back more will buy again. All directors subscribed so I think this is a good bet personally.
