RE: Time for Moulding to give up his golden share?26 Jul 2022 19:02
Thanks for posting that Kbyk and the article pretty much confirms my investment thoughts that sum of parts at THG is worth immensely more than the present manipulated share price equates it at.
Slightly lower close on the sp and market cap than quoted in the article that only serves to add further to the appeal and I have to admit to being extremely surprised that the share price didn't finish well blue.
"On Tuesday, THG shares were trading at 69p, little changed on the day but almost 90 per cent lower than the 596p at which SoftBank acquired its stake in the group. At £872mn, THG’s entire market value is less than SoftBank had agreed to pay for a fifth of one division of the company."
Beauty division, Nutrition division, THG Ingenuity and then there is also the princely sum of £536.8 million cash sitting on the balance sheet if I am not mistaken. Market cap tonight £921M
Now all the divisions are separated as was the plan and now sitting as their own individual legal entities. I don't think we will be waiting too long for the first part of value accretion to appear.
"The company has in the past talked about accepting investment into or separately listing its ecommerce businesses, which sell health and beauty and nutrition products and generate the majority of its revenue."
..." providing it with “material optionality and flexibility to enter into future strategic partnerships to generate value accretion”.
