Chris Heminway, Exec-Chair at Time To ACT, explains why now is the right time for the Group to IPO. Watch the video here.
.... maybe 'people' have noted the following ~ share performance 1yr. - 18.8% 2yrs. - 22.5% 5yrs. - 19.4%
Only in the past 3 months has there been a positive % gain (which currently is being eroded).
Active Boards appear to have a minimum reflection on share performance .... look @ LMH (which I hold) ... not one comment since Oct'18 (which was me!!) ~ share performance 1yr + 4.4% 2yrs + 24.4% 5yrs. + 33%. LMH is currently yielding 4% and pays quarterly.
AV. is an historically poorly run business and the appointment of the new CEO has not 'set the Thames on fire'.
This is what 'people' look at. I reiterate .... AV. is a reasonably safe 'trading stock' for income ...
All, of course, IMHO
.... there you go again
Suggesting that the great British public ( no doubt those without the benefit of a PhD) are Turkeys.
Well it seems that as a result of the 2016 vote we are leaving the EU in approx. 3 weeks whether you/me/or Father Christmas likes it or not.
Acceptance 'ol man/woman/gender fluid ..... and adjust your investment strategy accordingly.
As for AV. ~ decent income stock and imo that's about it...... GLA
..... from experience investors who are 1) gifted with common sense 2) are prepared to be flexible 3) not dogmatic that their views are the correct views and that those that differ are "strange".... tend to be the most successful.

.... but a 7% yield basis should steady the share price.
Watching to re-enter having sold last Friday (natch they went slightly higher early this week!!) but continue with the view that this a trading stock over the dividend period(s).
GLA
... aha, oh well the sun has gone in 'till next time ! I too have faired reasonably well having avoided the fallow dividend years. Recently bought back in £1 lower than my previous exit point when the stock offered a £7% yield basis (Dec'18). Currently + 11.5% (after todays rise) .... however had I chosen L&G that figure would be 24%.
All good fun .... if like me you have been fortunate in your timing.
Long term (a decade) ....... hardly a growth investment GL.
..... Bamps21 ~ this must be one of the quietest boards for a major company on LSE, matched only by the silence from the BoD who say the absolute minimum twice a year.
The dividend isn't particularly well cover but increases modestly most years.
Steady growth by a well respected BoD and a handy £4.5% yield in the current low interest climate....
.... Fundamentals look sound, rivaldo, agreed ... but time & again this stock reacts to 'sudden interest'. One problem is, of course, poor marketability ( a 2p spread does no favours)
Likely to close off the best (27/9) & go quiet again shortly.... buy/add on a flat day and not when in the news/spotlight....
.... Many thanks G/cramp. I'll head over to Google...
What goes round comes round ~ last time I held stock in the Island of Sri Lanka it was a Ceylon tea company called Rajwella Tea( no idea if my spelling is correct)
... Hi fellas, 1st. visit since Jan having been out of action & therefore not up to speed.
Would appreciate views on this proposed R/T...
Hope all is well G/cramp .... is it really 3 yrs since we bought into this blooming company.?!!
