g/cramp with your viewpoint. As you were saying back in Oct patience is needed but it's getting a bit stretched now. I don't see TwoHearts these days so perhaps he's lost his!! Todays seller of 140/- appears to have as that is a meaningful amount. I've added twice since Oct/Nov and just stopped myself doing so again yesterday. We may well get an inkling if/when volume picks up. I was also encouraged by the fact that some City boys were supporting this venture (was one of them head of Shore Capital commodities?) From the tone of their recent statement they were actively investigating prospects, so lets hope it's worth the wait. GLA
The theory sounds fine Littleaston but in practice you'll have to pay 2 brokerages and hope for a weak market. Still, worth a thought next time round..... Little aston? ....not from the west midlands by any chance
ex a 47.00c dividend payment today
Yes Hugo36, I tend to agree. As it happens I would be quite relaxed if they were taken out as I only have a small holding from years ago in a company called Water Hall. More serious investors will, no doubt, take a different view, as I would if I had a worthwhile holding. However the marketability and backwater status of Petards doesn't excite me to purchase more at this level. GLA
G/cramp > excuse my lack of knowledge but could you explain what you mean by a TR-1 Thanks
Basically agree with Hugo36 although as rivaldo says there are signs of a move away from one-off order reliance. However this is a very little known stock by investors and in consequence is likely to stay on a sub par rating to it's peers. Marketability being what it is, institutional investors may consider that the best way out is via a takeover. So, if you don't want that .... get the PR boys to work.!!
they've given no indication of such joys....have they?
A paltry (in St. Ex. terms) 1600 quid sale prompts a 1/4p fall in the share price. The jobbers seemingly don't want stock on their books so take a defensive stance .....poor loves. Hopefully the day will come when they'll be marking the shares higher because they've been caught short of stock. Busy trading week !!! ....anyone got ideas for a stock that actually moves? ....as getting bored (but not bailing)
.......exactly ITC
Right.... apologies. I trust RXP will come up trumps. So, like me, you hold Mila as a pure punt based at this stage on hopes that the BOD will replicate previous success in the world of exploration etc.. On entering broking many years ago I was advised not to project future price targets (even if there was an earnings progression) as there were too many outside market factors likely to be in play and NEVER put a time scale on events. There by lies derision and as such imo utterly pointless. Again imo there is very little /nothing to add to the generally perceived knowledge surrounding Mila and thus we should consign ourselves to awaiting an announcement from the BoD / "interested parties". Then I suspect FK you will reach the 15,000 mark without taking breath.....
FK ..so you advise others do you. Please then give me and the other followers of Mila the benefits of your insight. You obviously have information from which you will have done calculations which lead you to the conclusion that the Mila share price will, over the next eighteen months, rise to £1 Having DOYR perhaps you will begin by telling us which commodity/s will be at the core of the company's activities? Please also let us enjoy your forecasts of EPS that will justify a price of 100p and what you would realistically expect the P/E ratio to be going forward. Just an outline will do for now... Thanks GLA !!
...six months isn't all that long in Investment terms. G/cramp, we've seen profit taking @ around 7p in the two months after the IPO and then total apathy during December. Those were the days when only you,me and TwoHearts were on the Board!! If these people (the BoD) are as astute as people seems to think then I'm quite happy to wait for the "right" deal to come along. Not much point putting money in the Building Society....eh?
No prob....I just post if I can hopefully add some substance. Which as you point out is not that often! I share your wishes for Mila but just don't see the point in guessing when the BOD will make an announcement. GL.
Oh Lord.....FK has gone from "around the corner" / over the coming couple of weeks// end of the day ....to SIX months. Not only that >>> with no FACTS at all he has calculated a valuation of 15p + Meanwhile, Cheltenham WILL take place in March
.....tic better on the "offer" Four months is not a long time in a complex situation and would Nick P have invested such an amount (being close to the action) without good reason.? Stay cool.!!
Thanks to the Spiv TW have topped up.
Hottentot......the graph seems to indicate that the stock peaked around 480p (ish) > did they go through 500p in intra day? Just interested in your views on how much resistance there may be. Also what are the main bullish factors today as opposed to last March. Thanks to those with informative posts .....am newish to this stock (initially bought with income in mind)
We all appear to know who has got what.....they need to get the 1st move right Stay cool !!
.....because they are unlikely to announce contracts tomorrow.? General outlook should be positive though...
