Forgot to say I'm also monitoring ctec. Made a right horlicks of their most recent business relocation and deserved the severe slap on the wrist delivered by the market. However they are a profitable company and i would expect they will recover a fair proportion of their losses in the next couple of months or so. My plan is to let things settle down there and only become involved should the price drift back down to the 190's again. D.

Muddy waters time again I see. Look at the enormous sells being reported late from yesterday. As we have no idea what time of day any of these million plus trades were made yesterday we would also have no idea whether they were buys or sells. Hi Mulder To be honest even with today's rise I'm not massively ahead here. I bought in far far to early in the downturn and even after 5 buys and over �13k spent I still ended up with an average of just over 242p. So I'm not in the position to dump early and move on. Early days yet anyway so let's see where we go from here. D.

Nice steady rise going on during the whole session. CFO better not even think of putting out an RNS stating company has no knowledge of why the near 10% rise today. Mediclinic share price took a hefty hit on today's trading update. Spi investment definitely not a financial positive on any level for them over the last quarter. Their take from Spi investment according to their latest trading update was around �1m. Doesn't seem an awful lot of return on what was an approx. �350m investment earlier on in the year, now worth around 30% less than that. I'm probably over simplifying the figures but it's what I can see. What does it all mean about the rumoured takeover of Spi, well I couldn't comment, but I know someone who might. What is your take on it Mulder ?????? .

I wouldn't be to quick in writing of the engineering division. The company are in the process of investing heavily at the behest of the nuclear industry at their Dunkeld engineering works." metal cutting started just recently " This is an investment in very large CNC machine tools and state of the art CMM's, which when proven will give the company scope to bid for work until now not available to them. Investing for the future if you like but it seems a positive move from a small growing company. D.

The business transfer to a cheap labour country seems to have gone oh so wrong here. Serious punishment being applied by the market. Does it merit going under the 12 month low price. I suspect it does, will it ever recover almost certainly it will. Let's see if we can pick the bottom !!!!!! D.

It's not worth worrying about the why's and why nots. This sort of ' unjustified ' drop happens all the time. Even if your LTH it can still be worth the risk of a short term trade. Picking the bottom is the tricky bit. D.

We should see a change in the trading pattern prior to any " good news " It is not supposed to happen but when the financial jungle drums start playing it's likely that the last minute pre good news buyers will start to materialise. The BOD have been very careful in setting their timelines for spending the takeover war chest. Only one tarkeover to be completed by the end of this year and the remainder completed by end of next year. I can wait. D.

One of my other investments could certainly do with more patients, that would SPI. D.

Predominantly sells going through of late. I assume some people are just fed up waiting for news. One of these days there has to be an RNS with the news were all waiting for. I'm not expecting any kind of instant massive mark up on news anyway, takeover strategy continues well into next year. I think mid 2018 is when our patience will be rewarded. My opinion only obviously. D.

I'll settle for a walk up to 260p-280p. Got my average down to 242p so still a bit to go for me. D.

I am in a similar position to yourself by buying to early in the downturn I'm also sitting on a current loss. Like yourself londondan it's not a situation that worries me greatly, could be we're all wrong and should be worried about our investment in SPI, well we'll find out soon enough. D.

The price drops back this level my suspicious mind tells me there's a big buy order being filled and when it's reported it will probably go down as a sell. D.

Common enough misleading misrepresentation across all companies trading shares. How difficult would it be to pinpoint every transaction officially with a B or an S. Didn't expect the wee dip today, means nothing obviously, except I may have to raid the piggy bank further if it dips even lower. I can't understand the sells, we all know what we're waiting for, why buy then not wait for the results of the reasons why you bought in the first place. Leads us back to your thread I suppose Mulder. D.

Do you know the relevance of an ii reducing their holding from slightly over to slightly under 4%.? D.
