Don't think I'd enjoy their pizza much at present got an average of 293p. Wife and I don't talk much about shares, not since "I" her word talked her into investing "£500 of her money " in gkp. To be fair to me, and she's not they were 68p at the time. It was heaven when the boat sailed away to 440p. But it was hell when the boat sunk and she was still on board. Subject still comes up occasionally. However much I try to avoid it. D.

Now if only our profits would drop 60% like spd we would be onto a winner here. D.

HI YB34. Pets trading at new all time lows time after time for the last couple of months. It's been discussed on here many times " why " I doubt we'll get an answer to that. It surely can't keep testing new lows for much longer !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! " Is this once again a good buying opportunity" I certainly think/hope so bought back in again on Friday. D.

Glad to hear you've no LTH drama in your portfolio. I'm stuck in two at the moment SDX and DOM.. showing a wee bit of a loss in both but I'm fairly confident they will turn in my favour soon !!!!!!! There's no right or wrong way to do this, long, short and everything in between.You pays your money and you takes your chance. Lost a couple of my old favourite in and outs in last two weeks. Fortunately I was out of CLLN when the shorters won the day, Unfortunately I was out of SPD when their profits tanked and the shareprice took off !!!!!!!! Watching a wee specialised engineering company at the moment TPG, it's a pivotal week for them next week.. I'm in two minds whether to try a wee punt before or after the result of placement is announced. D.

Been watching this since announcement of placing. I suppose post placement confidence will depend on whether the full firm placement is taken up. I note that the three largest ii's have intimated that they will participate to the tune of approx. 160 mill. shares Firm placement not underwritten so we'll just have to wait and see if the other ii's participate. According to FT. 70% of company is in II. hands so should we be hopefull that cenkos do there job well and drum up enough support from current and new ii's to place the rest. D.

Hi Smoke Another poor week for pets. I think all on here fail to understand what holds it back. I'm back in again when my buy was triggered in the 155's this afternoon. No idea if I'm long or in and out again this time. This bouncing around the 150's and 160's is obviously not good news for LTH'S but it does provide an opportunity for a bit of short term profit for others, as it seems pretty predictable at this time what price the dips and highs will be. D.

Whatever it is it says " their pleased to announce it " Therefore you'd anticipate that it's "good news" should we be worried !!!!!! I saw something similar somewhere else this week i will try to find it. D.

I'm also concerned with what's going on here. Since the consolidation there has been no market that would encourage anyone to invest in here. I thought the 100;1 consolidation was nuts anyway and if anything it has made trading this share nigh on impossible. Good news and there has been some recently is welcomed by a widening of the already crazy spread making it lunacy to buy. I don't have a large holding in here, in old money I've a grand in at an average of 1.27p. So investing here in anticipation of expected new orders " which did come" has netted me and obviously everyone else in here absolutely nothing. Are the MM's punishing the company for the consolidation by making the share impossible to trade, I don't know, All I know is that first sniff of a profit and I'm off and good riddance to REDS. D.

I assume you have noticed that this site doesn't always register every company Rns announcement. The one I sarcastically referred to yesterday about Old Mutual selling down a tiny amount of their huge holding has not appeared here. I check all company Rns's every morning and evening on the Halifax research site, although, I have no way of knowing if they are any better than lse at showing them all. Slightly better day for my portfolio yesterday after a week of playing investing snakes & ladders with no ladders on the board. D.

Surprising there was no negative impact to the share price on completion of the near 10% placement at 60p last week. Be interesting to see what the resultant £94m. is used for. D.

MM's must still be asleep this morning. I thought the Rn's stating that Old MUTUAL had sold 90,568 shares of their 60,000,000 holding would have triggered a landslide here this morning !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! d.

I agree with your assessment of PETS. I've been in and out here a number of times since the first big drop to £2. My wouldn't we just love that today. Didn't really intend to hang around this time either but I'm inclined now to do just that. Doubled my holding before divi at then halved it at a small profit after. 6k left and like yourself I'm comfortable to play the longer game here. It's a good balanced board. I enjoy being part of it, we don't have any I got in at the bottom and out at the top people posting. Can't help being amused at you Nom de Plume, was pretty good at that myself. D.

Hi dadean. Can't really blame you for not wanting to invest in the market right now. At the moment I'm just dipping in and out if I see anything woefully undervalued, like here. I think it's common practise for directors to sell half their allocation of free shares to pay the tax attached to them. Thought I'd bagged a bargain when buying into Domino's Pizza's meltdown last week but alas no, it dropped a further 7% after my I'd like to say investment but in reality " gamble " It would appear I for one don't live and learn. D.

It wouldn't surprise me if we're being shackled because II's are continuing to build their stake here. Odds for another Rns this week. Law of supply and demand to set price doesn't seem to apply in share dealing. Keep up the good work Mulder. D.

Has the buying of II's stopped the downward trend. No increase in shorts over the last few days either. Similar share movement to Friday's. D.

I'm of the same opinion as yourself " no incentive to buy " I see someone had a go at 130p today !!! That's what I was quoted this morning. I think I will wait. Proper spread on this morning's trades around 4% ish. Even that's to big. D.

Looking forward to next week. Can't say I've said that about PETS recently. Will need to unload some soon, portfolio is top heavy here. £600 divi payment to look forward to mind you. Got a fright yesterday when we hit low 150's. Thanks for info Mulder. D.
