since August 20 you can't really blame the sellers on a trading day like this for chickening out. I'm probably not the only one who is surprised to see the market react this way. Nevertheless the buying price - if buyers are admitted at all - is incredibly attractive at this level given that PM will issue news on Sept. 20 the latest.

I admit being one of those who will hold my shares and not sell a single one on a spike - until the sp starts to represent PM's true potential (which - obviously - is greater than many can imagine).

Why don't we just wait for news. Until then Mike Buck has my support. As for the XX block drills: If any oil strike with SL or WH - we can get those done in 2019.

MRF: Not sure what PottyTime was getting at. But today's volume must be pretty much at the end of the ranking since July.

Big Bench: Unless we can trust that Trump's sanctions against Iran (which gag all foreign countries wanting to do business in the U.S.) will be long lasting I don't think we can rely on the current oil price surge - would be good though!

I hope that it won't take until the AGM (Sept. 20) to receive news. On the other hand if it's positive I can wait as long as it takes.

There is nothing outstanding "from last Friday". I refer you to my 2 responses which also address your constant need to make hazardous predictions; BTW your original prediction was "mid to early 8s" which you clearly missed.

It appears to be incredibly important to you that your predictions turn out right. I say: Do you really think anyone gives a damn if your call is lucky? What do you need to prove? Do you really want to keep reminding the posters on this board that you are actually the poor soul you appear to be?

Not surprised that my yesterday's post @16.27 has prompted reactions - particularly by posters who feel addressed!

Critical opinions are always welcome to this board - full stop.

However, "c'est le ton qui fait la musique" (it's always a question of how you articulate your point). Time and again those "critical" opinions (claiming to be "balanced") come across as doom-sayings; those posts should AT LEAST TRY to be constructive when critisizing - I really wonder whether those posters have ever had a (real) job with a minimal amount of responsibility! Should those posters need to obtain instructions take a look at 2010PM's posts. He definitely knows how it works and is one of the most respected posters on this board.

Bottom line is: If your posts are geared towards the 3 Rs, i.e. rip, (w)reck and ruin than you can't expect the people on this board to treat you friendly - it's your choice. I hope your nature, character and pride will allow you to adjust/modify your posts when contributing to this board going forward.

1. Once you invest in PM you have – hopefully – analyzed the pros and cons and have come to the conclusion that the investment is currently worth the risk.

2. The reasons for making that investment decision differ completely depending on the investors’ analysis, strategy, expectations, risk profile, etc. etc.

3. As we’ve seen many times the timeline for investment success differ substantially amongst investors. Short/middle/long term investor expectations cover the whole spectrum.

4. Consequently, although ALL investors will want to see their investment to result in a profit, they don’t appear to be in agreement on when, how and to which extent that should be the case.

5. I guess that is what makes our “discussions” on this board so difficult. We are (most) often not on the same page.

6. We – investors – should acknowledge that certain “plans”, “schedules” or “timelines” the company issue on the basis of their planning as of date X may need to be modified on date X+1 etc. going forward.
PM’s exploration business is dynamic and its management needs to have the entrepreneurial freedom to make decisions within short periods of time – even if those decisions deviate from the original plan – particularly if they are in the interest of the company’s long-term success.

7. So: To those investors who criticize the lack of updates on the company’s day- to-day business decisions should finally decide whether or not they can accept that type of management conduct (i.e. extending provisional time lines, different priority to drill locations etc.). Take a look at the qualities of the management and the company’s potential and then decide whether you want in or out (just like Warren Buffet). And then: Take a decision!

8. If you just want to spread fear and uncertainty and if there’s nothing to discuss then don’t bug the other investors with those issues; instead direct your queries and criticism directly to PM’s management.

I take note of the "IF" in your post the purpose of which is to paint a negative scenario (without basis).

I'm not sure we're on the same page wildOne. "His track record" is excellent to say the least.
Should you personally feel competent enough to judge his performance as CEO since being with PM based on the lack of news flow and your interpretation of certain announcements in the past which - as we have all seen - are all but unambiguous: Then I would say you're biting off more than you can chew.

BTW: Take a look at 2010PM's post @8.49 today; most of us have acknowledged that 2010 is an experienced O&G pro and investor. Disputing his statement: "To be honest I think he has done pretty damn well!" doesn't work well for your credibility.

are certain traders' worst nightmare. We're currently experiencing that on this board. Clearly, we all would like to receive regular updates and many traders have gotten used to it with other companies. The way I understand M. Buck's and PM's PR team's statements is that "no news" by far does not mean "bad news".
However, I do understand that a constant news flow is more likey to make the SP swing which is why so many traders are complaining. I also understand that leaning back and waiting for the inevitable success of PM is a lot easier - even though it does require some patience.
