Agree Dodger: Doesn't make sense to me either - shorting at lower than placing prices results in a loss (if you hold shares purchased at placing price). Shorting your own shares? Weird strategy to say the least.

I'd have to agree with Ronin1 - it seems incredibly harzardous to short high volumes with only days or few weeks to go before drill results are announced as the shorters would need to buy back big time. However, I admit not being very familiar with the tricky dicks' manoeuvers in this arena. Neveretheless, if those shorters get caught off guard all I could say is: Tough luck.

In Sept/Oct 2017 the sp was sub 6p. How many of you were still around at the time? I was.

As I said: You're a short term trader and you're unable to shake it. As jndavid mentioned: The fundamentals remain unchanged regardless of "sentiment" - couldn't agree more.

Great post D1nger (as always); those 2018 figures are even more out of this world if you consid!er the fact that all of those companies carried out share splits multiple times (particularly betw. 1990-2000), i.e. either 1:1.5, 1:2 or 1:3.

In other words just 6 splits at 1:2 transform 10,000 shares into 640,000 shares. Now multiply that!

I suggest "Torreros de huile crude" but only if the name actually needs to be in French. I actually like "True Matadors" a lot.

ridiculous trading day - I honestly wonder why we're not in the red despite the more than 3:1 buy against sell ratio.

It appears there is resistance at the bottom of 8p but only because the big time sellers have let off. Sorry for repeating myself but without significant news doesn't seem anything will happen here.
It's wierd how the market can change its overall sentiment if you compare it to how it jumped on this share in Jan/Feb 2017. And I don't need to hear the let downs and disappointment stories of last year to reason this market conduct. Compared to the let downs in 2010/2011 (from £2.10 down to less than 10p) last year's surge to 38p should never have happened. All I can say is: This market is something like a grab bag - you never know what you get.

However, considering the drill programm this year which has already underway, we know that the current SP does not reflect the company's potential and most of us are very confident that the SP will reach new highs this year, i.e. beyond last year's.

So what do you call a SP trying to keep its ground above 8p? Sorry, I've run out of words to correctly describe the status.

Just to set the record straight: I am saying this because I see no rationale or justification for the SP deterioration. I always thought that hope, expectation and phantasy would propel an O&G share. That's exactly where we are and what do we get? See for yourself.

I for one am doing the best I can to let the current situation bounce off and will not let it affect me. I - as well as many others on this board - know what is coming. Admittedly, we don't know when - but we do know it will happen. Obviously we all would like it to happen sooner than later.

Hallowed: You may be right - although I wish it weren't so - why? Because it's (almost) like leaving it up to others to decide if you may actually succeed or not. Hate that feeling but could actually be reality here on AIM.

Let's not let this SP slip into the 7's!!!!! We need some good news - now!
