If some of the valuations of the unquoted are correct they do not reflect possible upside. Regardless of the NAV given to them so long as they continue to operate successfully, SP and NAV will then rise. However while investors have no confidence in the company they will continue to drop, as to where they will go is any ones guess. 41p seems to attract buyers and will continue to do so unless the NAV drops more. SP will be around 66% of the NAV as things stand. Should they get new management then there may be a substantial rise. We are looking to add to our investment, but, like many others we are sitting and waiting until the SP settles and starts to rise 3-4 days on the trot.

Just had a quick look at the deals and it appears (to us ignoramuses) that anything that trades below the middle is classified as sales and anything above as a buy. When you see sales at say 5.3 a couple of times then a trade at 5.4 you would expect it to be a buy, yet they classify it as a sale as it is below the middle of the quoted price range. Those deals AT the middle price seem to be classified as "Unknown" This happens on ALL the listed trades of ALL companies London south east report, not just FFWD.
It stands to sense that if a number of sales go through followed by a trade that is of a much higher price and larger quantity the MMs are not going to give you a better price than those that have been sold to them at a lower price previously.
We find looking at the London stock exchange recorded trades is best as you can decide for yourself which are sales and buys. Why the MMs can not indicate which are sales and buys we do not know, especially with all the modern technology they have. We have tried in vain to discover how many MMs FFWD have, but our guess is only one. With a very slim possibility there are two.
We do not waste our time now looking at all the posts, which we only started to do a couple of years back with FFWD. After all, all the information (which is often very good) along with all the name calling (99% on FFWD) when prices fall, fails to have the slightest impact on the share price. There is a life outside and we have gone back to having it. Good luck all, keep your investments spread over a range of markets.

Disappointing but mid caps always drop more than the big companies, SP 20% down on NAV

Just been told to read your message about me, Do you go down the road and every time you see a 77 year old lady who is saying or doing something you do not like, harass her or do you prefer to hang on until you find one in a wheelchair, like myself. But perhaps you only prefer to do it on here where no one can see who you are. Why be rude to me on here ? every one has the right to an opinion. My husband, who is also disabled and myself have been trading shares for getting on 50 years and have probably forgotten more than you have ever known. We are the first to acknowledge we know little about modern technology and some of the new gambling methods of investing. There is a lot of things written on here which have little or nothing to do with FFWD information, but we do not harass them. We only try to keep you all calm and have peace rain on here, after all we are all fellow investors and just want success. Your comments about me are water off a ducks back to us, and are nothing to some of the things we have gone through in our life time. My husband over the last couple of years has listed the odd share that we think may make you money and worth looking at. EVERY ONE would have given you a profit, unlike FFWD which a lot of you kept saying was going to be a big big winner.. Now we are not complaining, as those of you who have supported FFWD did so in good faith and the information that they posted was top class . We chose to follow that information and it was our choice to increase our investment. It was OUR choice, we were not forced in to it. and there fore have no grief with any one, unfortunately we did not follow our golden rule of selling when a share drops 10%.
So please all of you stop getting at each other when you see your investment losing you more pennies, you are not alone there. nasty comments may really upset some people. Any new potential investors reading some of the comments about fellow investors would soon be put off buying FFWD.
We do write a few tongue in the cheek things, !!!!!!! such as we will double our holding when it reaches a penny. However we also said we would increase our holding when it dropped to 5p!!!!!!!, think it was around 8p at the time. Another tongue in the cheek comment. Be nice to one another and prepare for the time when outside investors realise FFWD is priced very very low and there is a good increase once they start piling in to it. In the meantime, spread your investments and spread your risk. If you want an outsider for the Grand National try ESO (EPE) BUT big Market Maker spread. Need to buy at 150p ish at the present NAV. It is an outsider. We are sticking with FFWD for the long term and added again recently. We do not buy very big lots but smaller and regular ones. Over the last few years since using LSEast a number of our trades in various stocks have been listed incorrectly. Sales listed as buys and buys listed as sales. With all this modern technology you would think they could identify which is which, in fact the MMs should identify them when reporting, so there can not be an error. We always used the London stock exchange trades where you just had the trade and it is left to you to identify which are the buys and sells. Our other trades today were all listed correctly on here.
We will look in again in about a week or so to see if you are all still posting nicely, at least you seem not to be niggling at each other presently. Some of your comments about each other really had us giggling, reminded us of schooldays. Now off to do some serious work with stocks that actually make us money. Take care all.

Those 6.08 sell deals were in fact buys

You are correct, we fail to understand why after a seller has received 6p+ for their stock a buyer gets them for UNDER 6P, when you would have expected them to pay around 6.25p. We were quoted 5.993p to buy £300 worth

Hello Rich, its a bit harsh saying we are always negative, as We think you can see by past posts we have always shown confidence in FFWD, we did use "worthless" but that was an exaggeration on our part. We were a bit surprised to find it was not the bright star everyone had been trumpeting about a few months ago. Even then we acknowledge we knew little of idea. We at least have invested in various Technology funds as we know they are the future and like a lot of things have to be left to those who understand it and back their judgement, rather than just invest in utilities and banks etc. etc. Our portfolio covers world wide trusts both small and large companies. We know little about Korea as an example but have investments there. Small and developing countries and companies give overall better results than large ones.
We used to invest in individual companies over the last 50 plus years but now leave it to investment trusts to give us a wide range. Bluntly we no longer wish to spend hours researching at our age. Aim as we all know is a difficult area to invest in. Factom will no doubt pay off in the end, whether FFWD will be in it then is a different matter as they may just be happy to sell up with a small profit. there is no harm in taking a profit.

A few months ago we were being told Factom was the best thing since the wheel was invented. Going to make us a fortune. Preventing fraud and getting installed in some government departments. The whole thing had us a loss initially, having difficulty in understanding it, which we over come. Now you are talking of it being worthless more or less. If Government departments are using it why the sudden change from all the hype . What has happened to make this look like a failure, or are we again missing something. If it is in trouble it brings back the eggs in one basket syndrome. Seriously can you tell us in plain English why the change in fortune? Remember we are not only old but very simple when it comes to modern technology. We have tried to "get with it" and invested in technology with some doing very nicely thank you. The change in fortune has me scratching my head, as all the hair has vacated that place a long time ago!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry but was there one little paragraph that may have hinted they could ask for a rights issue to increase working capital or, we are misreading this, or, and this is a guess, if a opportunity arose to buy in to something else? Statements can easily be misread or be vague though.
But as we have always said "what do we know" perhaps your rather diligent searches and intelligent brains can add more. Paragraph referred to copied below.

So who has suggestions as to what they con do to achieve this?

Personally we prefer a reasonable broad spread to cover any sector failures.

Again we feel that a to higher a % of the portfolio in one or two sectors can be dangerous, while if successful, can be a massive gain in value. Appreciate it may attract more investors if successful.

We made the mistake of putting too higher a % of our investments in to FFWD which will bring our first annual loss for years. Hopefully long term it may pay, while we would be getting good gains from other ITs if we had increased them pro rata
Don't have all your eggs in one basket, as we often say.
Our over view of the statements after reading them again is more or less what was hoped for and we still have complete confidence in the directors . They have bought in to good opportunities and been long sighted with their investments, it is just that no one else seems to agree, by not buying in to FFWD but instead still selling them. These investors who have deserted FFWD may have been hoping for a quick buck and have left the opportunities behind them. So the statement saying they must remedy the lack of new investors is 100% correct and needs rectifying, along with a little more information for the shareholders when it is possible.
As for us we will invest a little more once it has stopped dropping to help our average. So until more news is announced go back to just looking at the share price and RNS daily and concentrate on other opportunities that are on offer to broaden our portfolio.
We appreciate some of us have varying ideas for success , which is natural. The one thing we all want is the SP roaring ahead so patience is the key word again and giving the directors our support.

And still they continue to sell a product for 60% of its real value, at least there are some wise bods who are buying a largest quantity of stock.
We intend to add to our holding but hanging fire in case there are more sellers which may have the SP test 5p so we are not going to get caught out as we did before buying at 8-9p, although we did get some at 7p so we are hanging on to see if it does drop before we buy more stock.
Hopefully the board will do as it says and try to get more investors on board to increase the SP. We did think the NAV confirmed at just under 12p would attract more buyers, however the opposite has also happened. We are just eternal optimists so don't go by what we do unless you are also an optimist. Looking at the companies FFWD are invested in and their NAV it does give a good reason to be optimistic.
Hopefully you will not continue having a go at each other as it does not bare well with potential investors reading some of the posts on here. Just keep it to your excellent information that you find, as it really is very good at times rather than criticising each others comments. We need good positivist information on here. So keep the good work up.

Not as high as we had hoped for but an approx 16% increase over 12 months is not to be sneezed at. So time to buy buy buy.

You are all more up to date and brighter than us, so what happens if FFWD do not come out with their results in the allocated time allowed? do they get kicked out of AIM and have to go private? Never heard of an Investment trust not coming up with the required results in the time period allowed, or going private. Afraid we do not have the time or energy to look in to it ourselves, so you bright young herbs can advise us all.

You, between spats, do come up with some good information on the companies FFWD hold so we are expecting the NAV to be well above what has been banded about, but we are the eternal optimists.

Just looked at the posts, skimmed through them for the week, so obviously may have missed a lot. however you all seem to be backtracking in to insults with each other perhaps because the SP has began to retreat again.
Factom was all anyone could go on about a few months ago, now it is treated as old hat.
The problem why we moan on here is the SP, not that we have to state what you all already know. Once there is good news then the mood changes, and congratulations all round for sticking with it and "I told you so" being happily pronounced .
There should be a little more information from the board room to give us a clue as to what is happening and why the results are late. Always a worrying thing late results, which usually relates to delaying bad news. But where would the bad news come from when all the investments appear to be doing well? Even if one is a disaster, the others should cover its losses with their good news and an increase in their NAV. Unlike investing in a single company where bad news has no support from elsewhere and it really knocks the SP, with an I.T. invested in a few companies the bad news only affects the SP slightly.
Without news from the board room you may as well do as we do and just look at the share occasionally to see if there is any movement/news. The trades appear to be 95% sales, with only a few large ones at that. The MMs appear reluctant to let the price drop below 7p and only do so when (we are guessing) an order to sell at market is received rather than the seller giving a minimum price they will accept, giving the MMs cheap shares to hold.
The majority of you have calculated the NAV at around 11-12p with the proviso that some of the holdings may be worth a lot more. All we can do is wait for the results to confirm either way. The only thing that slightly worries us is the large sales from 9p down and hope they are not from people in the know who are selling as they expect to buy back at 5p or so, once the results come out. More likely it is investors who do not research and have simply given up on FFWD as an investment.
So stop the niggling at each other and buy more stock if you are confident that it is greatly under-priced or if you think there is something wrong sell up. Probably for the majority of investors they will just hold until the news finally arrives.
We bought and bought on the information that was given on here as it appeared reasonably sensible so we are holding and only adding to other investments we think are under priced as our holding in FFWD is to large a % of our total holdings.
You lot are the brains and discover information on other sites although some post for the sake of it.

Big discount of around 42% on sell price and 38% on buy price. Value here if we only knew what they had invested in. We must be missing something.
