Well the sun rose this morning so the world is still spinning, life goes on, we are still suspended and another groundhog day of filtering through posts of panic, bickering, name-calling and general rubbish. I guess the one thing that unites most people here is the desire to make a return on our investments in SYME (apart obviously from those weird people who have no interest other than posting deliberatively inflammatory comments to elicit responses for fun). There are people here that have spread bets in place, people that are short-term traders and people that are longer-term traders (investors). Everyone has invested hard-earned money in the hope that they will make a profit but everyone has a different risk profile and some will make more than others and some will lose money. There is a chance that everyone will lose money. The reason that the company attracts the attention that it does is because of risk. Like many companies at this stage there is an enormous risk and like it not the majority do not make it and go bust. Look at the high profile start up companies from the past few years that have been touted as the next get rich quick unicorns that have failed. People invested in those companies genuinely believing in the fundamentals and many lost a lot of money. The excitement and bickering on some of those boards was no different to here. There are some companies that succeed big with people making their fortunes and that is what keeps hope alive. SYME is high risk and some people here need to get their heads around that fact. If it wasn't then we would be at a much higher SP with proven income streams and hopefully a clearly mapped out future with the potential returns on your investment reduced. The reason we invest in young companies is because of the potential rewards and the potential rewards here could be huge but those rewards come with risk. There are people that took those chances in the early days of some of the world's massive companies so fortune can indeed favour the bold. Be aware of the risks and be aware that there are no guarantees here as anywhere else and understand that everyone that has money in the game is also taking a risk. When you are feeling insecure about your personal risk then it's time to re-assess but ultimately the decision whether to sell or hold has to be yours and yours alone. Some can afford to lose their investment and some cannot. To put things into perspective and reassure yourself that at least this is not a scam understand what the major investors here (particularly AZ) have to lose. We are putting money into a business with the intention of making a decent (for some potentially life-changing) return but AZ has put years of his life and an enormous amount of money into this business - more than most here can comprehend. We all have risk and I for one am happy with the risk here as I am confident that AZ needs this to be a success more than I do and will be doing everything he can to make it work.
