RE: ALL IN ZOE27 Jan 2021 09:12
2016 was my first HNR buy on the back of research done by Grapheast on this board. He spent a lot of energy extolling the virtues of DTU and with Schlumberger trialling the technology I was convinced it would do very well. My first buys were around 12-13p and I bought more up to 62p. When the SP crashed after that like many others I pretty much forgot about them and put them into the lessons learned drawer. Over the years I had experienced the dreams of companies being dashed so was starting to grow a very thick skin. From mining in Yorkshire (I actually made some money on them), oil drilling in Somalia and the wilds of Alaska, mineral mining in the wsteppes of Russia, alternative fuel for power plants and ocean tankers and even turning oil into water I fell out of love with my investments. Having changed direction from my previous career I ended up spending 7 months travelling around the world finishing back in Ireland last March to a very different world. Being locked down led me to review my portfolio and in a rash moment decided that I would consolidate. My main holdings were ZOE and 88E and I decided to sell 88E after their poor drill results and put the funds into ZOE as they were very cheap. I mentally had written the shares off as I knew very little about CBD. Lockdown meant I had plenty of time to research and I ended up buying more around 6p. I was lucky - no real skill involved but I feel blessed to now look at my account and see how things have changed. I really feel for those that have missed out here but as John Story said earlier in the week he feels the SP is actually cheaper now than it was back in April so 5x or 10x from here is still a fantastic opportunity. I look forward to the chance to put something back into society when I decide the journey has run it's course for me (but that will not be for years yet). Good luck to everyone that is holding and I wish you success with your investments
