@jimb Fantastic news for Sonora. Thanks for your continuing to share your research!
Now I wonder where little ol' KDNC fits into all of this? So many possibilities! For those that haven't read it, I've summarised a fair few of the these and their possible values to KDNC in the Sonora section here:

Who knows what acknowledgement that our areas are "in play" will do to our SP! We are massively under the radar - never mentioned in the press, despite having claim over 18.58% of the reserves. noting Ganfeng recently paid circa £230m for 40.71% of them, the offer being made at a time when Lithium prices were MUCH lower. :-)))
DYOR - but very strong buy at this time IMHO, especially since Sonora appears not to factor in our mcap at all, which is odd given several years back it pretty much was all of it, and the project and prospects now are much more advanced! Quite odd, AIM certainly is a weird one. But what an opportunity! lol ;-)
Ob.
3p to 30p and back to 10p was an interesting ride. Sonora comes good and I'm expecting another interesting ride from 10p to £1 and beyond... I'm fully loaded at these prices and ready for the news. I can wait. ;-)

Fingers crossed this is us and it goes through to plan (or better!). Looking forward to cheering HAS on again ;-)
As to Sonora? Completely under the radar. The wider market doesn't realise we exist and hold a relatively large stake... Very excited to see how this plays out, we could be talking triple digit millions to see us gone. :-))) Though anything half decent would surprise the market as it currently values Sonora at near zero from what I can see...

@jimb. It's the word "acquisition" which swings it for me. Guess we might get an RNS today, tonight/tomorrow then! Or Tuesday...
A$9 is currently £5.3m at least that has moved in our favour :-)
Seems quite likely @Bannor. "The company wishes the trading halt to last until as such time it makes an announcement to the market concerning the transaction/acquisition or Monday 29 August 2022, whichever is the earlier."
Good spot!
Nice spot @Zoom. If we do stand to benefit handsomely, then our BoD should surely be congratulated on the tight ship they are running! I guess the bigger the deal, the more important it is no leaks spring! And this could be an absolute whopper for us. :-) Wonder if any outsiders will put 2+2 together and start piling in? A nice steady rise before company changing news is always welcome ;-)

“We all wish that oil is no longer used, that there is no climate change, but these are processes that take time because you have to have new technologies, such as the lithium batteries that are in Sonora, in Bacanora. We are going to develop lithium, but it is going to take time.”

Great spot @jimb. I'm surprised more not currently invested aren't taking a position here, though we do feel incredibly under the radar with respect to our Sonora holding - ever see it mentioned anywhere? Anywhere!? Other than on our website of course. ;-)
"He added that the lithium reserves in the state will be used, in particular to direct them to the automotive industry, since this alkaline metal is essential to manufacture batteries for electric vehicles."

I make the TL;DR on upcoming news as:
Amapa Iron Ore: First right of refusal to increase ownership stake from 27% towards 49% of a project that had discounted cash flow valuations of $1.2B Anglo & $1.66B Cliffs and an initial valuation when purchased by Anglo of $3.2B in 2008.
Anticipated order of events: MRE, PFS, 22%, IPO/DFS.
Shipment of stockpiles recommencing when conditions are favourable.
Sonora Lithium: In conversation with Ganfeng regarding KDNC's 30% JV's. Details on Ganfeng's optimisation and expansion ambitions and potential impact on KDNC of massively increased stage 1 plans to 50ktpa of Lithium hydroxide and beyond forthcoming, including strategic OEM investments, and consequences of recent nationalisation votes.
Anticipated order of events: Sale of some of Sonora to Lithium for Mexico, publication of expanded DFS, new off take/investors.
Recent events highlight Ganfeng have the funds and are keen to do deals.
Evergreen Lithium: Initial public offering.
Yangibana Rare Earths: Finalisation of agreement to take A$9m in HAS shares in exchange for our joint venture areas.
EMH Lithium: DFS/partner/offtake/funding announcements for phase 1 of the project.
My Latest valuation estimates and Due Diligence by u/EV-BULL suggest the market is currently discounting Amapa and Sonora to near zero contribution to the NAV.

Take a look here:

Should really be in the £100-200m ballpark, but @EV likes to be conservative...;-)
"At least 40% of the critical metals in the battery – lithium, nickel, cobalt, and manganese – must come from the United States or a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) partner. That percentage rises to 80% in 2026."
Thanks both. The importance of this for KDNC with respect to our Sonora 30% JV's should not be underestimated. Some PR from our BoD on the back of this would be great, but I suppose any ongoing negotiations might preclude this! :-)))
Indeed @EV. News feels close...
Lithium prices continuing to rise. Not a lot, but up is better than down right? ;-)

Anyone found the source/verified this article yet? It's a fairly reputable news outlet from what I can see, but I always prefer the horses mouth! :-)
https://www.reddit.com/r/CadenceMinerals/comments/wljuxm/mexico_energy_minister_reveals_name_of_state/
https://www.bnamericas.com/en/news/mexico-energy-minister-reveals-name-of-lithium-state-company
It's this quote that I'm looking to verify: “Mexico looks to buy out existing additional rights held by UK exploration giant Bacanora”.
Big news for us if true...
Thanks for the plug @EV. Can I take the opportunity to emphasis as strongly as I can that these valuations are based on MOST THINGS GOING OUR WAY. If things do not go our way, then they are very unlikely to materialise. I don't particularly want to go over the past, but I could explain in great detail, as could other knowledgeable LTH if we so desired, exactly which things didn't go our way previously leading to our near downfall to 3p. Will this time be different? It's certainly starting to feel that way, but only time will tell!
@tomcat - great idea, but I can't see happening! No doubt all partners will know the potential and I can't see any wool being pulled over our BoD's eyes on this one: unlike our Yangibana tenements where HAS could have mined elsewhere, we have the 100% Ganfeng tenement completely surrounded with our 30% JV holdings, so as if they want to expand from the 17.5/35ktpa DFS plan, as recently announced, it's like how @Kiran put it: "so you would see our area come forward in the mine plan and therefore would have a far higher value because the NPV would increase."
Exciting times ahead for sure! :-)))
