Indeed @jimb. I reckon not many outside of here and there, and ex BCN holders, will be aware that they have future plant expansions in mind. Ganfeng have stated previously in various presentations and reports, and there is this:
https://www.reddit.com/r/CadenceMinerals/comments/qtpwkw/bcn_rns_sonora_project_update_ganfeng_expansion/
===[
the Company has acquired an additional 500 hectares of land at the eastern end of the plant site location to allow for future plant expansions.
]===
500 hectares is huge, and will easily cater for doubling to 70ktpa LCE.
Good read as ever @Jimb. I don't think the market quite understands how significant the statement in our intermins published yesterday is:
"We are constantly examining possible legislative changes, and Gangfeng is ensuring that the mineral concessions remain legitimate. It is our current view that the Decree passed by the senate only impacts licenses, concessions, or contracts to be granted, NOT already those already granted, as is the case for the Sonora Lithium Project. Therefore, at this point, we do not believe there is a material impact on our joint venture areas."
Indeed @Dallas. They need to either reduce the % (by changing the definition of the company/project) or reduce the LCE resource - it's incorrect of them to state (or at least imply) 100% ownership of 8.82Mt LCE resource when we have 1.478Mt of it attributable to us, which is a similar LCE resource as many a full blown project I should point out! lol.
Indeed @Dallas. The point is their shareholders, and indeed anyone not understanding the facts will be under the impression from the Ganfeng Interim report that if Ganfeng scaled up to fully use the Sonora resource they would stand to benefit from 100% of the scale up. This simply is not the case. Facts are important here. We all saw what happened when the scale of the resource was interpreted incorrectly previously - we pointed it out on here, and on KDNC.PL, but as far as I'm aware neither BCN or KDNC took the time to alert the media they had it wrong. It should be corrected ASAP that the resource is not 100% attributable to a Ganfeng, it is nearly 17% attributable to KDNC, and we stand to benefit hugely if the project is scaled up.
Indeed @Barksy. Though I can see how they can get confused on these matters. Ganfeng now owns 100% of Sonora Lithium Limited (SLL), but this doesn't have claim over 100% of the Sonora Lithium Project resource - we, ultimately KDNC, has claim over nearly 17%. This is because although SLL owns 100% of the LV, SLL only owns 70% of the JV's, our subsidiary owns the other 30%. That is huge, and the wider market is being kept in the dark about this - though I'll give Ganfeng the benefit of the doubt not purposefully! I'd be happy with a footnote clarification of the facts, but it would be fantastic if they issued a standalone clarification turning the eyes of the market towards us ;-) In theory they should as they are otherwise misleading their shareholders to the size of the resources attributable to them...

Page 19: https://www1.hkexnews.hk/listedco/listconews/sehk/2022/0919/2022091900358.pdf looks like even Ganfeng don't realise they don't own 100% of the Sonora Lithium project.
@Kiran - You should consider asking them to issue a correction, this propagation of untruths is not doing us any favours.
They state they have claim over 100% of the 8,820,000 tons of LCE resource. This is simply not the case. We have claim over 1,478,000 tons of that, nearly 17%.

Nice spot @EV.
Lithium prices continuing to rise:
https://www.lme.com/en/metals/ev/lme-lithium-hydroxide-cif-fastmarkets-mb#Price+graph
"For its part, Ganfeng, the largest producer of lithium batteries in the world, focuses on its expansion in Latin America and strengthens its presence in the region. Now, the company owns 100% of the deposit in Sonora."
Oh does it? Yet another news outlet that doesn't realise we are in the picture. I'm beginning to wonder if we should do a better job of correcting the facts, as in hindsight it is now clear we should have done when certain news outlets got the wrong end of the stick about the size of the Sonora deposit a few years back, not understanding the difference between Lithium and LCE meaning their estimates were too large by a factor of 5.3, that way Lithium might have stayed off the political agenda.

If you are new/haven't seen it, I've had a go at estimating some potential Sonora valuations on what is turning out to be a fairly conservative Lithium price!
https://www.reddit.com/r/CadenceMinerals/comments/vpr5w7/due_diligence_lsekdnc_cadence_minerals_asset/
Note the mention of all of our other assets, but not a word on Sonora. @Kiran, your silence speaks volumes ;-)
Far higher value. IF. "If the mining plan would follow the same logics and economics as the DFS did, then what would happen is that our area would get mined earlier because suddenly you're not doing 35,000 tons of lithium carbonate a year, you're doing 50,000 tonnes of lithium hydroxide so you would see our area come forward in the mine plan and therefore would have a far higher value because the NPV would increase."
Lithium demand remains incredibly strong, I just can't see Ganfeng sticking with 17.5/35ktpa LCE

Ganfeng's move.
"We continue to view Cadence as on the cusp of a transformational change." Couldn't agree more. Wonder what it will be that tips us over the cusp? :-)

@Bannor, @08:42 It's possible you are confusing with AGM's. Because annual/interim reports are RNS'd they can, and often do contain price sensitive information which subsequently influences the share price. Though I'd be very surprised if we hear we have sold Sonora for $200m via them, but not that we are in talks with our JV partner about their future! But maybe we aren't, maybe there is absolutely nothing to report on Sonora, despite all the recent developments... @Kiran!? lol
3p to 30p on news and expectations, I'm expecting 10p to 100p on more news and expectations. Eyes on Sonora - very few realise we are in the mix from what I can see...
