Not sure if anyone has noticed but there have been some large trades going through on the offer side in the last 10 minutes or so at 79.9-80p. Must be delayed trades as they are not moving the book.

They have been adding slowly over the past 2 years, however, will need to get to 30% where they are required to make a mandatory offer. I dont doubt that it could happen, but I believe that its a slow burner

The amount of 555 algo sells when the price was around 84.5...makes me chuckle!

Agree with the general opinion regarding updates from the BOD and IR - its been poor to put it mildly.

Currently it appears to be a tug of war between the shorts and LTH. MW have upped their short position again to 0.7, Qube are at 0.6 and BR are at 1.09 (I believe that BR are net short by a million or so shares now). The shorts wont give up without a fight, LTH just need to stay put and hope that the BOD pulls their finger out.

Positives - it's great to finally have some clarity on the new products and a more detailed timeline on the return to lending.

Negatives - the new products don't exactly 'blow me away' (contrary to Gary's beliefs).

Overall positive, it'll be interesting to see how the market reacts today. No mention of any FCA fine, but that surely is a given.

Its a slow burner B1nky. Its more likely to drift down in the short term than up, which is why shorts are increasing at this level. Annoying I know, but as the old saying goes, quick buck artists come with every bull market but steady players make it through the bears. The share price is clearly detached from the company (by how much is big question) so we have no choice but to be patient.

Interesting point, whilst its not impossible to spin off one of the companies at the moment, its probably not the greatest time if you want to achieve a high valuation. Baby steps I guess, little by little things should improve.

Its interesting as we are definitely not in a closed period and management havent made the market aware of any new approaches. One thing that I have noticed however is that the blackrock short has now been declared and Qube have topped up slightly. My feeling is that this will trade around the 70-75 range for a while until the update in September

Agreed. Its ironic that MM complained of market manipulation previously, yet the bumbling board are giving the shorters all the ammunition they need with their unprofessional handling of this entire situation. As I said yesterday, I do believe that the bid situation has been somewhat orchestrated by THG and this is just Act 1. There's more to come yet.

I think its only where a position is net short it has to be reported when it hits a certain threshold. Blackrock are net long
