Not sure about "explode." But, if there is a decent rise to occur , it will be once Amigo announce relending AND the FCA fine is confirmed as being much lower than expected. An "explosion" can only take place once the shackles have been fully released from the FCA (i.e unrestricted lending) and if the market receive the new products well - but that will probably take at least 1-2 years. In terms of 2p (pre dilution), I'd like to think we are past that level now, however, I can see a sizable drop if the FCA decide to impose a large fine. It will probably bounce back within a few weeks to where it is now again. All of course my opinion only

It makes sense Algoman, that was the premise given to the court and its repeated countless times since. However, the tone did slightly soften in the latest rns where they spoke about a potentially higher proportion being funded by debt, so there is hope still

No confirmed news on that. Gary did mention on the call that it would hopefully be received in the next couple of months, but I think that the deadline is Feb 2023.. Regardless, it will only be 35m in total. If you compare that to the fact that Amigo were lending 40m a month at their height, it just shows that this will be a slow burner.

No problem Colin. This has been a frustrating share for all holders over the past few years, I particularly feel for those who invested near enough at the IPO prices. For LTH, I would hope that the majority would make their money back and maybe a small profit over the medium term, however, it really does depend on the consumer demand of reward rates new products. I dont buy into Gary's philosophy that they are "mind blowing" at all, however, considering that Amigo only had around 220k customers at its height, its not exactly a large volume of consumers that they would need to onboard to make a go of it.

Yes they would be at discounted rates, but no-one knows how much we would need to put it in yet. Judging by this morning's conference call, we are not likely to know for a while either.

Its no doubt easier to raise funds at higher share prices than lower ones, but that's not to say that it cant be done at fractions of a penny. Anyone wanting to make money has to be in it for the long haul, probably at least 3-4 years from now. If you have over-exposed your portfolio to this share, its better to get out now or trim down your holding. Otherwise, put it in the bottom draw and forget about it for a while

Yep, mainly sells at 4.4p. Makes little sense given the RNS. I know some will say that Amigo are still a long from way from safety (hence why are we expecting the SP to bounce) but on a better than expected RNS, it is a wonder why sells at such a low price occurring now as opposed to beforehand.

I know. The way I see it with Amigo is that all potential good news is priced in and all bad news (irrespective of whether we expect it or not, e.g. FCA fine) is not. It will take something v v special to move this share price up in the short term now.

Whilst i don't expect any favours from the board, this is probably the first bit of decent news for shareholders since bybrook started buying in SOA1!

Interesting note in the rns :

"Whilst the quantum of the fundraising has not yet been determined, we are cognisant that minimising the equity raised by utilising higher gearing will make it more feasible for existing shareholders to participate in any rights issue. Amigo will publish equity raise specifics as well as detail of its future business plan and new lending performance ahead of a shareholder vote to approve the raise." Looks like more bond based borrowing is on thr cards here.

looks like around 250k-300k shares went through at78 offered. Someones built a posistion.

Looks like an iceberg at 78p. Loads of volume going through at this price, but the amount on the offer is is barely budging

Agreed Franky, its been toyed with consistently to shake out sellers. There's not much more they can do now, volumes are pretty much non-existent.

Ha BSB, it really wouldnt surprise me. The whole dilution thing has spooked prospective investors since 19/1 was announced. I know that dilution was originally referenced in the SOA1 court hearing, however, it has been rammed down everyones throats so much in SOA2 that its made making quick money on Amigo almost impossible. That not to say there wont be trading opportunities (there were plenty who probably bought around 2p and have done well) but prospective short term returns are improbable.

the movements are deceiving unfortunately, they're based on little to no volume. (More) patience i guess...but its becoming less and less likely that there will be this huge jump on good news. Better just to put in the back drawer and have a look later this year!

Agree that shorts have gone up. I am not particularly surprised either, I don't think this will be a quick turnaround, but a decent gain in the longer term. The shorts know that they can manipulate and keep the price down in the short/medium term, irrespective of how disconnected the price is from the company. Its annoying, but just how it is.
