30% down and now into auction...this is bloodshed now. Whilst I can appreciate that the board may not have predicted the level of the drop taking place, they full well would have known that today's news would tank the price considerably. Im still scratching my head as to why they didnt reveal the figures for the candy proposals, even if they werent legally obliged to. It just portrays a "we know but you're not important enough to know" view where shareholder already are aggrieved with management

Its interesting that they have not chosen to reveal the price of either of the 2 (albeit indicative) proposals that Candyman had drafted. It almost as if they want the price to drop in the short term....

Candy's like Merrill Lynch when compared to Goldman, JP and co. Whilst the others get the lions share and clout, he's just happy to have a seat on the table and wait for sloppy seconds if they ever come about.

Even though I'm heavily down, I couldnt help but laugh when I saw the Candy RNS. What an absolute clown.

Prox - I thought the shorts had cleared out (the ones above the 0.5% threshold that is) recently, but just noticed Qube at 0.55% since 31st May.

Having been in a number of volatile shares, this isn't the first time that I've seen stocks temporarily being suspended and going into an auction once the price has moved 10% in either direction. I'm pretty sure that these are known as circuit breakers in the stock exchange to manage volatility. If these haven't taken place for THG on down day, that is very surprising.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaand another auction! Lets see where this lands...

HH - it was at the time, it hit 5.5p odd. Dont get me wrong, a lot of buy orders have been filled with that drop leaving a big spread, so it could well be something more strategic rather than jus regular share dumping. It wouldnt surprise me if the sells are mainly short term traders who thought it would hit 30p on the court result and have been disappointed!

Into auction due to a 10% drop for for the 2nd time today. Now down 25%, it certainly testing everyone's patience!

Its s a good question. My gut feel is that we will see some action in the afternoon, much like yesterday where there was a small period where huge volumes went through. It is illogical that investors will sell around 140 when you have a rejected bid at 1.70 for the whole group, which indicates to me that the price is somehow being held back, probably to allow shorts to reduce their position.

These crazy pops in volume are not normal and i've seen this occur in this share a number of times. Lots of repositioning going on!
