As an investor who usually keeps hold of stock through the ex dividend date it’s good to see share price resilience.

Possibly…trading update next Wednesday.
BDEV and TW both issued good trading updates and have seen an uplift in share price.

SHELL SHUTS THE MARS AND AMBERJACK OIL PIPES DUE TO A LEAK AT FOURCHON.

Retail selling wouldn’t bring the price down this quickly. IMO it has to be II’s.

The market seems to be liking the results and I shall enjoy the 105p dividend per share payout.

Totally agree MPO818 as regards annuities. Perhaps?? a safer/steadier option when retirement does come around but shares can always be passed on down the line to spouses and children…in fact I’m hoping to be a family legend in 200 years time when my original holdings are worth billions!

At least the dividend policy remains unchanged.

With Germany, Austria, France and the Netherlands all reopening coal powered power stations I’d expect similar bumper coal reporting for Glencore over the next two quarters at least.

Market coming round to the results?
Hopefully similar reaction as to that of BP where the sp kicked on a bit more days 1 and 2 after the results.

Agreed. Don’t see any reason why BDEV’s update will be much different on the Sept 7th.

The price of oil will probably still be at elevated levels so I’m hopeful the Q3 results will still be stellar.
IF results are down then any rise in the dividend may not attract as much media controversy.

Well done to those that added sub 200p in the recent over reaction.
Buy the dips on quality companies and think long term.
