It is the nature of the business for what can be best described as tech start ups..even when they are producing revenue and to the outsider appear to be self supporting but to get to their wider audience and expand they will forever munch through cash..I am not saying a cash call is coming but it certainly would not surprise me.

bamb I am not sure how to equate your post about consolidation of the shares..in the first instance I am pleased because I have never been involved in a share consolidation in an aim company and it working out well for the pi..however you go on to say that the team expect the sp to go higher off news flow by reducing the number of shares ? Surely that is either by a consolidation or a buy back neither of which is likely so could you explain what you mean please or am I missing something

Not exactly true there swest..Len through his wife holds just over a million shares..in addition he acquired 1350000 option shares notified by the company recently on the 11 Aug..admittedly he did not pay anything for them but he also has the option to buy a shed load by the end of the month the options that were extended from 24 june 22

I think that is with their jv partner not the government !

D'ont get too excited ,it may take years..however the Slovenians were happy for a British company to come into their country and invest and then went out of their way to thwart them so they should and will have to pay ..it just depends how long and how much..one thing for certain though is it will not be 500 million Euros

Personally I think if Nm had been in charge and the bigger players would not partake in the raise at his price he would have gone and got the finance somewhere else like he did with Franco whereas this seems to be a lightly veiled threat that if you dont get close to our suggested raise sp we might go somewhere else..probably wrong but that was the feeling i got when saw the announcement

Hopefully he will hold onto these shares for the longer term !

I defended people selling at much higher prices touching the 60s I believe and was somewhat derided for it..but it does go to show and more often than not regardless of how you think or hope things are going to play out it never hurts to take some profit off the table and sometimes you are given the opportunity to get back in at much lower levels

They appear to have left off the reason for the option extension..whatever the market do not like them at the mo !

Although it would appear to be a perfect storm for ALL and lithium and the movement towards electrification there are more wider economic worries affecting the market and whikst the GS angle does not help there will be many operators out there hoping for a cooling in the price of some of these necessary resources as it wiuld be fair to say they were indeed overheating

I find it shocking that so many are aghast at this fundraise..exploration companies and other such groups that have no income but trying to get a product to market are always cash hungry machines..the only thing i am surprised about with Sound is that they lasted so long without raising..it had already been flagged up they needed a financial cushion and when it comes some are stunned and revert to childish name calling..very amateur behaviour and in fact grasp of understanding of how the markets work ..and if you want to highlight the fact about what Graham said about others and funding I don't think you will find he was necessarily talking about a few quid the company needs for admin expenses which he always had in mind to sort out in the short term

I think the recent problem for the sp is more to do with the EU debating whether to declare lithium a hazardous product which brings in many complications in the workplace not to mention costs ..that decision is still some way down the road but will probably be a cloud over lithium companies opersting in the European Market..Albermarle also in Germany have already spoken out on the issue

I wonder if the above named Canadian company has had a look at Sound ..the only reason why I say that after todays announcement by SDX that they are recommending a combination with Tenaz who are interested in oil and gas assets in Morocco..just a passing thought
