It is not clear what share price the raise was at; MAFL's interim accounts stated:

'Our initial investment at C$0.375 p/s was followed by a financing at C$1.00 p/s nine months later. We anticipate that another financing round will be sought in 2022 and should allow for a review of our holding value of the investment.'

'Most of the profits generated from both the Retail and UK Solutions and Logistics businesses were eaten up by distribution costs.'

For a company whose entire model is based on delivery, those delivery costs should be factored in before declaring any profit.

As a long-standing Ocado customer, I am becoming increasingly aware of price disparities between it and Waitrose. I now get an order from each once a week. The additional £1.50 Waitrose delivery charge is more than made up for by the savings and will have driven down my Ocado basket from over £250 to around £150 and will have cut their GP on the basket.

Some price differences are striking... A lb of coffee beans is £3.90 at Waitrose this week; Ocado is £6.24 for the equivalent weight. Eggs £1 v £1.50... More customers will be more careful with their shopping, so expect gross profits to be under severe pressure.

Russia's Duma passed a law in March banning Russians from spreading "fake" news about the country's armed forces.

There would be some poetic justice if Putin was prosecuted under this law for claiming the war is going well. It would be nearly as pleasing as Boris being deported to Rwanda.

RMM seems a brave move without clarity on financing. I would not be surprised with either a deeply discounted placing [circa 50%], death spiral financing, or a combination of both.

But they do say that risk favours the brave...

The RNS said that the placing proceeds were for 'general working capital and to help deliver the Company's previously stated near term goals of completing the Phase 2 Turkey seismic programme and the subsequent drilling of a new appraisal well in the Basur oil discovery,'

Is ocelot now suggesting UKOG is going to farm out Turkey, or is he blindly ramping and hoping something might stick?

Is this the second, third or fourth time they have sought funding for the Basur appraisal well. How do punters know that this time they have raised enough?
