GOV cannot just keep borrowing to fund services; in 14 years the Conservatives added close to £2 trillion to public debt. As a nation, we have been overspending over £100 billion a year; about £1600 per person. A mix of tax rises and service cuts are required and they both need to be implemented before markets turn against GOV debts and the interest burden becomes unaffordable.

14 years of austerity and Brexit have done significant damage and left no room for GOV to try to spend their way out of the quagmire.

How low do you expect the share price to drop if you wish someone on a salary sacrifice scheme could get 100 million plus shares? Even £100k for 100 million shares gives you a share price of 0.1p. I know many people are expecting a sub-penny placing next month but 0.1p seems a little drastic - are you trying to deramp to get into the placing as cheaply as possible? Or are you just rather poor at maths and lacking common sense?

I have posted this question for Monday's presentation:

"The company has depended on issuing shares for survival for more than a decade. Some investors believe that management should receive a fixed percentage of their compensation in equity to better align their interests with those of long-suffering shareholders. Do you find this request reasonable? If not, could you share your reasons?"

I would encourage people who post questions in advance of the presentation to record them here so that shareholders [and more importantly, potential shareholders] can see if the new management team is prepared to address concerns or if they will just ignore difficult questions.

Trusting any team in SA is a gamble... And expecting any production that requires water, power or law and order is another gamble. So make sure that the return you are hoping for compensates for the risks that you will be taking [I left ZA nearly 25 years ago after the police shot dead 4 people who were plotting to rob the betting shop I ran so I might have a negative bias].

It should be the transport minister telling Parliament first...

Something does not add up @ HMEO - 2 weeks ago:

This follows a similar investment in the Company by Prevail Partners announced on 18 September 2024. The subscription price represents a premium of approximately 275% to the Company's closing share price on 1 October 2024.'

The share price fell on the day to 1.57p and has since fallen another 25%. Does not compute...

A hydrogen 'guru' - it is worth paying some attention to his thoughts: "Gonna see lots of consolidation in the hydrogen industry over the next 12 months. Post-seed stage electrolyser startups are finding it more challenging than ever to raise funding for scale-up. Some have resorted to begging larger players for an acquisition."

It could get worse... if you have too much stock in a dying market what can you do other than cut prices in the hope of securing your share.... It can become a vicious circle. The Saudis get oil out of the ground for less than $10 a barrel so a price war could see prices collapse.

If China's economy keeps disappointing then the price trend is down... And the Chinese have so much spare solar capacity, they will not need to import as much energy as they did in the past or as much as some expected in the future.
