Ingredients

2-3 cooked tarantulas (fried or roasted, cleaned and chopped)

1 lb (450g) ricotta cheese

1 cup grated mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 egg

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh herbs (like basil or parsley), chopped

For the Sauce:

2 cups marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 clove garlic, minced

Olive oil

For the Lasagna:

9-12 lasagna noodles (no-boil or regular)

Additional mozzarella cheese for topping

Instructions

Prepare the Sauce:

In a saucepan, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.

Stir in the marinara sauce and Italian seasoning. Let it simmer for about 10 minutes, then set aside.

Prepare the Filling:

In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, chopped tarantulas, grated mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, egg, salt, pepper, and fresh herbs. Mix well.

Assemble the Lasagna:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom.

Layer lasagna noodles over the sauce.

Spread half of the ricotta-tarantula filling over the noodles.

Add another layer of marinara sauce.

Repeat with another layer of noodles, filling, and sauce.

Top with a final layer of noodles and cover with remaining marinara sauce.

Sprinkle additional mozzarella cheese on top.

Bake:

Cover the dish with aluminum foil (to prevent sticking) and bake for about 25 minutes.

Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Serve:

Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
