Yes, VAT is sickening. I wonder if you noticed that you can buy them free of VAT if you have them stored in their vaults, but there will be a storage fee after the first six months.

VAT doesn't put me off buying. I was buying 1oz coins in 2025 for £6.95p each, including VAT and today Bullion By Post will pay over £30 for them and I expect that to go up soon.

"Look at the premiums" - I agree with you, it is shocking and disgraceful because in the USA dealers don't charge such high premiums.

However I still think they are worth buying. Look at the premium on a new car. As soon as you drive it off the dealer's forecourt the value has tumbled, but people still buy new cars.

Thanks for your comment. I thought the numismatic value also increased over time so that when you sell you can get above the bullion value, am I wrong?
