FK wrote, about fairview - "There is probably a decent poster in there and he is probably just frustrated with his investment". FK - you are too magnanimous.
He doesn't deserve it. Just look at his attitude.
From fairview's Wed 11:19 posting - "I may be wrong but you seem to perpetually negative on the company. That's fair enough but when I feel like that about a company I just stop following them. Why do you have such an interest in Falanx if you think it's a dog?" - end of extract of his posting.
My translation of "when I feel like that about a company I just stop following them" - "You should stop posting on here." He wants to be the board policeman.
From fairview's Wed 12:13 posting -"I'm tired of having arguments on LSE. I only want to discuss the merits or potential downsides of an investment" - tired of having of having arguments - but he has only just popped up on here, so who else has he been arguing with? Review his comments on here and see how quickly his tone became belligerent. He is the sort of person who starts arguments.
From fairview's Wed 12:27 posting - "I'm not going to waste any more time on this because it is clear you only want to have an argument. Why don't you try backing up some of your statements with evidence."
You have backed up your views with evidence - i.e. your track record in calling the sp correctly all the way down.
Then, having said he is not going to waste any more time on this, he carries on - so we cannot believe what he says. He is not a man of his word. He says "it is clear you only want to have an argument". By saying that he won't carry on, but then does so, it is clear that he wants to have an argument and this backs up my earlier opinion of "He is the sort of person who starts arguments."
From fairview's Wed 14:59 posting - "I have no problem with negative views on any share I hold as long as it is reasonable" - oh yes? Who decides what is reasonable and what is not? He does. This back up my comments that he wants to be the board policeman.
My posting from Wed 12:05 - "Like you fairview, I see the positives - the new broker, the SolarWinds tie-up, we have a Hambro on the board and cyber security is a booming business. As you know, I bought a few more yesterday, so I really do see the positives - but I face up to reality - FK has always been proved right. I might not agree with someone's views, but I am prepared to admit it when they are right." - end of psoting. In that posting I expressed a bit of solidarity with his views, but he goes on to attack me - why is that?
In another posting I said - "None of us can see the future and that other opinion might turn out to be right" - which, like NiceToMichu's insightful comment, is a true statement - but fairview doesn't like it and he goes on to attack me - why?
It must be because I pointed out that FK has always been right in his forecasts. As I said to NiceToMichu, fairview must not like truth, and also
