Ok thanks all. It does make sense if a large proportion of INFA investors are dipping in and out as they have better options and limited capital.

Maybe the removal of pre-Marine Licence award activities from the list of outstanding activities helps with concluding the Gas Storage Agreement negotiations?
I have written earlier asking why any right-minded investor wouldn’t be holding onto their shares right now given the assymetry btw downside and upside ..... and replies came there none. That’s why, along with what happened today to the price, it feels like the SP is being suppressed in some way.
It can only mean that unless the BOD do not deliver like they say they in all these RNS’s the SP will go stellar once the true viability is revealed via the financing in place - but we will soon see !

Could any of the recent sellers of this stock please explain to me why they are offloading these shares at this time given the impending news? Is it simply that sellers do not believe in the Board or the commercial viability of this project because I’m flummoxed.
Please only reply if you have something unemotive and rational to state as there are a few folk on here whose lift will never quite get to the top floor.

It’s really about security of supply and the premature closure of one of the largest natural gas fields in NW Europe lessens that somewhat.

In essence one could argue this will increase the flow of LNG from other parts of the world begging the question as to whether and how cargoes of liquid gas are classified as gas in store ie even before they are discharged.

Why sell a dirt cheap stock when there is such asymmetry in the price ie much more upside potential than downside risk?
Unless of course all these sellers know the company is going to hell in a hand basket which it isn’t.
Makes little logic to me but I’m LTH just thought the sellers were all gone there can’t be that many shareholders wanting to sell that are left out there

It was just for information that an adjacent project competing for the establishment of caverns in the loch is now formally withdrawn. It could also create an opportunity for INFA to build them and rent them out for compressed air rather than gas which is a little greener and maybe more acceptable to some folks

A long term lease was negotiated in around 2014 for the right to mine (extract) the salt to create the caverns. The Crown Estate is paid based on the space created. I imagine the Lease may have been modified given the delays to the project and the changes to the number of caverns.

Try to get to the bottom of this which is +ve on the future for gas storage due to stabilising seasonal spreads and increased volatility.

I strongly disagree that the market thinks the main project is a non-starter. Sentiment is for quick profits and this therefore is not the right stock to be invested in for those types. The project is most definitely commercially viable.

Latest RNS tells me sadly BOD have lost the plot. They are trying to fit 2lbs of **** into a 1lb bag and should be 100% on ISLANDMAGEE.
Let me explain (to them) the FRSU will not work; I’d did not work for EXCELERATE (RWE) at Teesside and will not work at Barrow. If there was any significant commercial merit in such a scheme one of the majors would have got after this sometime ago.
BOD strategic and communicating skills are now officially highly Suspect. I have 31 million shares in this company and am now seriously concerned for my investment as an LTH

If I am not mistaken our CFO who used to work for Vitol was instrumental in ensuring the Humbly Grove gas storage project developed. Vitol acquired all of the capacity and then contracted it to Gazprom simultaneously realising a profit and enabling commercialisation of Humbly Grove. This bodes well for INFA LTHs.

Still befuddled as to why on Earth all these sells are going on. Aren’t investors prepared to take any risk? It’s hopefully at least causing some consolidation in ownership but it’s taking time to occur.

I’d encourage everyone to read the brief but informative article published this morning by a reputable company in the energy sector. They indicate that in their view the time is ripe for salt cavern storage investment given price volatility and the lack of indigenous storage in the U.K.

I too am totally bemused why anyone would be selling into this current news environment unless you simply do not believe any of what JW is saying or you can’t get hold of your Neil Woodford units and are cash strapped! But through all the years and all the fears if holding this stock right now to me at least feels like the very worst time to sell up and head for the hills. This is a mini El Dorado and some half concocted investment strategy. Let’s see if we are right as all that is needed is a small addition to the huge reserves of patience us LTHs have shown through the years.

Assuming they have done their DD they must be thinking about buying the Project (not the Company).
I see the next step as a sale of this Project which Vitol believe in; provided they can secure the right project manager and technical / management team they will want to control this in house rather than via a small third party team.
There are not many outstanding conditions precedent only the Marine Licence /SNIP so these may be the only impediments to a sale.
