I think a lot saw the raise coming; but not at 30p. The mid-high 30's most of us could have swallowed so this is a real disappointment that speaks more to the lack of conviction of investors despite the recent Saipem award.
The relationship with the City has to be improved the Chairman must be replaced imho with someone who has "financial operational" experience with the banks and the investors. There is little doubt about the pipeline of opportunities and to be fair to the company they have steadily increased the size of the average contracts but they are running short on the clock.
I can see other companies might consider modifying their supply chains by acquiring us whilst we struggle to grow such that they control the yard(s) for their own construction schedules and retain the margins which are likely to increase as yard capacity begins to tighten. Someone earlier mentioned 70p = £70 million - I think most shareholders would accept that offer if it came in the next few months. Its not such a large outlay for the likes of BAe but also when you look at the investment being made in wind and WDV alone it runs into the billions so why would you not want to take control over the fabrication and construction of your own projects at a fairly low outlay. Also it gives you the option to pick up the other opportunities in the sectors the Board have outlined. I will wait as I think that this lot will eventually deliver ..... or if they don't someone will step in to acquire what is a strategically valuable group of assets. And thats not including the storage project which if consented will be the biggest asset by a country mile. GLA

IF the ML is approved by the NI government, INFA has a host of companies interested in their cavern capacity both from an equity and debt perspective. There are some big names in the mix, Vitol, Fluxys, Shell and others. Its the hydrogen stupid :-)
Back costs will be recovered and I expect some kind of farm-out process where INFA get a carry for eg 20-30% of the project. I also suspect they will have to give up their position as Operator and Developer as this will go to one of the new equity parties with the experience; this is a good thing as despite the appointment of a very experienced project manager in Mark Jessop any major will want control over spend, construction, schedule and regulatory aspects.
The value (NPV) of this project dwarfs anything they have have thus far achieved from the shipbuilding side. This is what will shift the share price from its permafrost.

Hopefully the corporate news flow in the coming weeks will provide more solid support to take us higher.
I don’t “do” charts but can see we are creeping or trending up.
I’m hoping Mr Poots provides the Company with a consent to develop the storage project because that will surely unlock so much including work for the yard in Belfast.

It’s all looking very rosey for INFA given the pipeline of new contracts. I’m hopeful the interim accounts will shortly demonstrate another leap in turnover. With further business opportunities at a very advanced stage we can look forward to more RNSs in the coming months.

I sent a link last week showing how little wind can contribute on certain days to the generation mix. Today is another of those days; it’s only contributing ~2% of Uk grid supplies at the time of writing. 60% is coming from natural gas.
The need for secure supplies is going to require a range of solutions to back-up this intermittency, batteries is one although the technology has some way to go. Storage and hydrogen is another.
Northern Ireland has an opportunity before it to develop a world class natural gas / hydrogen blending and storage facility to deliver power and heat to the grid when the wind isn’t blowing.
As the huge increase in offshore wind generation is now inevitable the value of balancing loads via storage is rising considerably to manage volatility in both supply and demand in an environmentally responsible manner.
The science is inarguable, the NI government has a decision to take to award the Marine and related licences to make this happen. Aside from the huge employment and economic benefits from this project it will enable NI & GB to become more self reliant on energy supplies which ought not to be underestimated

The switch to renewables is happening but we have to solve intermittency. Storage is one mitigation first using methane but also hydrogen in time. At the moment of writing half our power comes from gas fired power stations and only 4% from wind

I agree with those sentiments.

If H&W were to fail it would sit squarely with the intransigence and ineptitude of the political parties and be a great disservice to the hardworking people of NI.
We can but hope common sense prevails as there are numerous examples of them being exceptionally adept at kicking themselves up their own backsides.
I expect this decision to be made within a month and from it we can expect a significant boost to investment and employment across the yard and the storage project.
The other factor here is the trickle down effect into the wider economy; smaller diverse businesses seeing an uptick is all very likely.
What is not to like about this opportunity?

It's unsurprising that there are calls for a public enquiry (PE) from certain parties. I cannot understand what further information pertinent to the project that this would yield as it the subject matter has been so well researched and studied by all sides over many years now.
Were it the case that there were any material gaps in the science, any environmental ,economic or social impacts not properly understood, then a PE might merit consideration. Perhaps I do not fully understand the rationale for a PE; however on the face of it this seems to be a delaying tactic and nothing else.
Whilst it is always dangerous to say "we have nothing new to learn" in any situation, I think the Minister will be wise enough to see that simply kicking the can down the road purely to appease those that disagree with the very existence of the storage project is not a logical or particularly bold approach when considering the need for people's jobs and livelihoods and the obvious wider environmental upsides for gas storage to NI, the south and GB (initially methane then hydrogen) in the energy transition to net zero. Something we can hopefully all agree is a shared objective.
Let's get sensible, let's get some perspective, let's build Island Magee Gas Storage.

We won’t be the lead party contractor but there will be conditions laid down that ensure work is placed across the four countries ensuring infrastrata receives a slice of activity. The value is uncertain but it’s likely to be in the several tens of millions and possibly more depending on the time horizon one is looking at (that is an estimate not a fact). We won’t be left out and therefore anything we do get will be significant when you consider the current market cap of the company.

Gosh I'm not sure. Perhaps it's someone or a corporate entity that wants to hold lots of shares in the company because they think it is a good investment?

I think INFA will certainly land significant new business within the next 3-6 months which will be a game changer.
There is so much work around across so many sectors that it’s hard to imagine they won’t!
Unfortunately us AIM investors are an impatient lot and we’d quite rightly like to see the company turned into a mighty industrial concern as soon as possible.
Once the market sees the early contracts come in then things will start to become exciting and it won’t be long imho

If there is competition for capacity and/or equity then that would be ideal however if Vitol are still looking to purchase the capacity then financing ought not to be too difficult and with low interest rates the ROI will be attractive. It’s not straightforward as to how accretive this will be to the share price and I expect it to rise in stages firstly from the award of the ML then news of debt / equity and FID. All in the background of the transition from natural gas to hydrogen and an increasing medium term dependency on natural gas for central heating and power generation.
Assuming DAERA make a positive recommendation in the course of the next 3 weeks then we are in for an exciting time ahead this year .

I did read some attempted scaremongering about storage caverns collapsing or venting or something of the sort. The fact is there are literally thousands of operational caverns the world over; it is proven safe science and I felt this sort of post was misleading and rather desperate. I think the residents of Larne have a much greater chance of being hit by a bus than being injured or worse from the slat caverns deep under the lough.

I'd like to see the BOD purchase more shares but understand they have been in closed periods for some time due to the sensitivity of the business they are discussing; acquisitions, contracts and other ventures. We were all warned it would take a couple of years to turn this around and I'd say that this is certainly happening and will bear fruit this year; whether that is Q2 or Q3 or Q4 I'm not in a position to say however there is simply so much on the table that for Infa to fail would be difficult to conceive given the different sectors they are seeking work from.
I'd remind everyone the value of the storage project is many times that of the current market cap. The Marine Licence will unlock many opportunities to build a low environmental impact world class storage facility which will in my opinion be storing hydrogen in just a few years time; a green fuel to compliment Ireland's huge wind generating capacity. The island of Ireland will be a lot closer to net zero than GB by 2030 for sure and that is an enticing prospect. The above ground facilities are minimal and hardly a blot on the landscape especially compared the the monstrous Ballylumford hulking power station which will eventually become a lot greener in time!

It could be Gresham House selling what remains of their holdings. The semi permanent presence of a seller has really kept the lid on prices recently; indeed the exit of GH a previous 5% holder has led us lower about 6-8p. Once they are done I’m optimistic for the SP to recover even without big news.

Nonetheless I'm betting those recent Sellers will soon come to regret their actions.

I think if the selling subsides then any buying interest , even modest will move the SP up quite rapidly.
Gresham House have, I hope, probably nearly exited from INFA and this is what drove the SP down by around 8-10p.
They held around 4 million shares and the PIs can only mop up so much! I would like to see another ii come in and given the reach INFA now has into so many aspects of energy and infrastructure I'm really excited for its prospects.
