We are short of gas and short of gas storage. This winter could be interesting re security of supply and wholesale gas and power prices which are through the roof.
If the buffoons that “run the show” had consented this about 3 years ago it would be operational now; significantly reducing volatility

Indeed it is.
They are overextended and under financed.
The overall strategy still makes sense but it cannot be delivered by the existing management. They have had time to prove themselves.
I believe the company only has a future as a private entity.

One thing I would say is this company is already capable of being acquired as cheap as chips for an established shipbuilder and/or windfarm developer who may be short of yard capacity and doesn’t want to give up margin

You are correct about Triumph. It’s a dead duck now.
A real missed opportunity that a more focused and experienced Board would not have overlooked.
Expect to hear some excuses about why it didn’t work at some point in the near future. Sadly it was too much too soon for them to commit to and they simply aren’t competitive yet. Looking at smaller jobs is fine but they need to come thick and fast and that’s not happening

now 15% down on the 30p placing price and that was at a disastrous level. The market has no faith in the Board over their performance and we need a knight in shining armour to come to our rescue.
I expect the reason the TR1s never listed is because they are already selling and cutting their losses

The biggest mistake of all was them telling Gresham to go away in a very impolite manner. And now the BOD admits they need a new Chairman and NED - exactly what Gresham was telling them
Having no ii on the Board is untenable; hence the justified comments from others this looks like a lifestyle company.

Just had a great message from a friend who happens to be down at Appledore now. It made me smile.

"I just spoke with the lady in the charity bookshop and she'd heard a rumour Boris has given the shipyard a lot of new work ....."

The friend is also a shareholder; I'm not sure about the lady that runs the bookshop.

In addition to the rather unusual state of affairs surrounding the last investor presentation and the lack of any information posted there has been an absence of TR1 notifications following the recent disappointing placement.
I was taken to understand there were two new TR1s Trium and Benwater Asset Management but yet again we are in the dark about their holdings (if any).
Appledore, the Belfast Dry dock and the ML saga are still sources of concern and hence a lack of appetite for buyers even at what seems like a knock down price. Perhaps we can see the Board orchestrate an open period for a few days so they can increase their meagre holdings; if not then perhaps we can all look forward to being disappointed by another placement before year end (I do hope not)!
We have taken so many knocks lately the balance of probability means that something good must come out as an RNS soon shouldn't it?

Next thing will be chauffeurs.

Gresham went about it the wrong way but I think the legacy of that major fallout is why the SP is where it is now
Activist investors, interested third parties and existing ii holders can bring the Board to account if the malaise, lack of success and ridiculous pay packages persist. And I will support that

The "shorter" is a concern but more so is the pipeline of work that we are constantly reminded of; it seems to be a little bit blocked and I am wondering why that might be? Competence or lack of competitiveness might just be contributing to the malaise as well as the unfortunate lack of presentation material and new news. The announcement of the £1.6 million just before the investor presentation was already concluded weeks before. Let's put it down to COVID bunging up the valve as we try to secure more meaningful work; its been a good stopgap for some months now.
The DUP are busy tying themselves up in knots (which they are legendary at) so perhaps I should not be surprised at seeing the share price where it is ...... even though someone told me not to worry as it would soon be back to the high 30s soon. Hmmmmm

"They'd" like nothing better if this shakedown of retail investors clears some of us out of their hair. The shorting continues. Why would retail investors be selling at these levels in a manner (i.e. sufficient volume) that drives the SP down further? It seems somewhat suspicious to me.
Still no news on the corrupted investor roadshow presentation. Were the slides on powerpoint corrupted as well? Read into that what you will.

Stokey12 I was probably not making myself clear but my intention was to state if the price was driven lower eg to 20p a lot of shareholders might take up an offer to sell at eg 40p. I agree that is considerably less than what most of us think the company should be or could be worth but that is how some of the money folks do business to acquire assets on the cheap

TTNY - it’s taken a while but it’s now become blindingly obvious why JW and AR haven’t bought shares since May 2020. Do not be fooled by the closed period excuse; it’s very simple, they knew well in advance further placings would happen which would dilute us all. When they do buy in we can breath a sigh of relief (I think) however they’ve been happy with the “In God we Trust - the rest in cash” (our cash) mantra for what seems like a long time

I’ve been concerned that someone is shorting the company for some months now. I think it is entirely credible that this is going on with the shorter’s objective being to acquire the company at some lowball price ie if the SP drops below 20p then a lot of shareholders may accept eg 40p to sell up? (Or less perhaps as INFA will struggle to raise again in my opinion after this last debacle).
The company owns a great spread of assets given the future potential pipeline of work across several sectors; we all get that much. But timing is now really critical I’m my opinion ie if they don’t deliver some material new business by or before end Q3 they are going to be struggling for air.
The risk for the shorter (if indeed there is one) is the ML being approved out of the blue when Mr Poots and his team finally get off whatever other pot(s) they are sitting on as a favourable decision will definitely lift us considerably higher. This share is more of a gamble given the precarious nature of the finances and the way the Board has stretched itself with all the acquisitions.
Someone will make this business work eventually and I just hope it’s this lot but hey who knows who and what is lurking around the corner?
