Hello Casapinos, there is no need to heavily debate your post: the scenario which you have described is more than feasible. By no means certain but this RI may be one of those events where the patient, diligent and also perhaps bold private investor can raid the normally well defended institutions. Reminds me of 2008 when the financial establishment destroyed itself, moreover damaging many of us.

Undecided yet how many to hold through to the rec date but looking forwards to throwing the odd spanner into the turbines so to speak at the AGM's.

Hi Paul, if you are new to RI's I will give you a clue: study the theoretical mcap on the first day of trading following RI shares entering the market. Next, study the fluctuating mcap leading to the RI rec date. Compare the two volatilities. Spotted the anomaly? This is known as arbitrage, not a complex mathematical phenomenon but it is exactly what is driving the colossal volatility.

If you are not into such strange numbers study well the material on the RR website and take the longer view. I envisage massive swings in the next trading week, resolving to price stability leading into the record date.

Almost nailed on I reckon £2.70 will yield a post RI MCAP of £6.9 Bn and a TERP of 82 pence approx. Everything has changed, the enforced misery and propaganda is over. Tbh I may flog a few over £2.40/50 to fund the RI shares, steady as she goes!

Interesting number, very close to my calculation of the inflexion point relative to the TERP. In basic terms buys below 270p should yield a >50% probability of short term post RI SP increase.

Do you honestly believe that 50p is likely? That figure would be the individual TERP for perhaps the top 2% of new investors in RR. Mine is 54.7p which is not top tier but acceptable. Ignore the Ant and Dec type dweebs infesting these forums...

What John means, if I may, is that fewer RI shares are affordable by a cash limited PI if the ord share price rises.

Spending higher sums on actual shares if cash reserves are limited means that fewer 32p rights are feasible. 'Tail swallowing' also increases the TERP.

I am in for a tranche of shares, will participate fully in the RI with a five year plus time horizon with the aim of gathering C shares. My TERP is slightly over 54p.
