As with some of the regulars here I am a very experienced investor, to amplify, having made a huge number of errors in the first few years yet totally accepting those poor decisions as learning points.

Unlike numbers of recovery plays, growth companies and arbitage calculation based punts this is my first heavily invested company which, purely due to the confluence of potential outcomes delivered to us by geopolitical events produces an investment equation where the exit price is undetermined.

Whilst the contributions of some on this site offer future indicative valuations in double figure £££ it is sensible I believe to hold and be patient. Pounds? probably but risk is present so pence is also a given probability imvho.

MEM, have a look at your post again, an FSRU is a system designed for the import of gas, Ramhead would require FLNG or a land train/port facility in order to export liquefied gas by sea. That said, we agree that there is tactical reasoning behind the FSRU concept.

Sefton, have a look at the syllabus for say Aerospace Engineering at Manchester along with some course texts and then justify your absurd ‘dullard’ comment. It is true that many engineers are intensely interested in the inanimate though.

Back to PRD, I agree with the ‘Chinese writing’ in the RNS but the FSRU in my opinion is a floating red herring....game theory at it’e finest.

I’m going to take a short course in thermodynamics as the whole subject is both fascinating and strange. The longer game would be to understand Navier-Stokes equations but I’m not hopeful! To unite Newtonian mechanics with fluid mechanics seems quite wonderful.

Astonishing that these two great men, one a mechanical engineer and the other a physicist produced these equations in the pre-Victorian era!

Interesting species, quite a difference between say civil, structural and mechanical engineers and those esoteric types in the game of photoelectronics, design and construction of ‘near’ and ‘far’ targets for the MINOS experiment. All graduate engineers (not me) are highly intelligent yet the former types are issued with tasks converging onto a final target (bridge, skyscraper,gearbox) while the latter are closer to physicists ie extremely open and able to understand quantum theory.

Nothing is that simple though, one of my best friends is a Cambridge maths Ph.D but designs engineering software: complex overlap these days between the various STEM subject experts.

My hope is that the UK, if we indeed survive as a nation, could enjoy a new renaissance in science and engineering. I have a modest holding in Infrastrata some of which I sold to start buying in here at c.5p. To be honest as engineers we were quite arrogant, heaping scorn on business and accounting types. I fairly quickly acquired perspective though and full respect for our beancounters.

Interested in this company over many years and occasionally traded small qty’s. Odd type of binary bet now: almost a paperwork exercise to sign off the FID thus triggering resources to reserves in accordance with the SPE manual. At that point a takeover seems inevitable? All IMVHO.

Our nation, the United Kingdom owes an enormous debt to engineers from the very inception of the Industrial Revolution through to today’s production and chemical engineers responsible for the manufacture of SARS CoV-2 vaccines. I was an engineer myself until 1997 (licensed aircraft engineer).

This company interests me a lot and am now uncharacteristically overweight in Predator shares.
